I figured when I saw Albert's name attached to the the title it could be good listening, I was wrong, its great! Also interesting variation on 12 bar blues pattern there at the end

I don´t think so. Boogie woogie and barrelhouse piano comes out of the blues, it was very popular in the 1930s and 40s. Albert Ammons, the composer of this piece, was born 1907. Wild West saloon music would very likely be based on bad renditions of popular songs heard in the East Coast cities and, at the end of the 19th Century (and the Wild West era), ragtime, which draws a lot from the European romantic and post-romantic piano music. The instruments themselves would be rather similar though, perhaps even more beat up and out of tune.
