Hey, for the IS 77S removing anti-fouling we would recommend a compressor that can output 10 bars (145 psi) or more and 3.5 m3/min (123 cfm) or more.

In several examples it appears to have removed a lot of sapwood leaving the surface very uneven where it would require leveling by sanding or even planing. Is this correct?

Dry ice blasting can be brutal on pine and other soft woods. It just eats through the soft layers as you can see when they are doing the red file cabinet drawer in this video...

I had read that it was "possible" to use this method to remove old undercoating. After seeing this I am in doubt. Thoughts?

Nice, but only a visible/reachable surfaces get cleaned this way so a lot of dirt stays at its place and perhaps some new gets loose and lands somewhere U do not want it. A proper flush would do better job to that engine.

Wear a respirator or some type of lung protection. Lungs can be damaged by wood dust. Carcinogens.

There is no point. That varnish will do nothing to the engine. But the demo is excellent.
