We’re you okay with that? I’d be afraid of breathing whatever they was spraying! But the chopper footage was cool to watch. The electric company came on our property and chopped down some limbs and trees close to their pole and didn’t let us know I was mad about that but I guess I didn’t have a say in it. What wt oil do you use and how many quarts? Got to do mine soon.

I use 15W-40 and about three quarts. Don't forget to get oil for a diesel engine and unless you have a 2009 Kubota BX25D you may need more or less oil and even a different wt oil, look in your owners manual or online.

Nice idea to cover the basement access. I was thinking instead of a "door" just hanging another smaller framed "wall" fixed in place to the roof that would also lift up with the hinged roof, and get heavier duty gas shocks to lift the roof and front wall as a single unit. Then it'd be a single move to unlock, and lift. Looks good thanks for sharing.

Good idea, but thought of that already and don't know if it will clear the outside of the wall in the front to land on that first step. The other reason is how do I lock and unlock it from the outside and Inside??? The thing is I am not done with it and you will have to wait along with me to find out what I haven't thought of yet.

@@rockandrattleretreat5830 you could use a center turning lever with rods or cables out to each side like on old garage doors with spring latches in stays on each side. But I bet it'd be right getting up to that part from inside. Maybe just build it taller and put an exterior door on it? Either way, I'm intrigued and am following along. Let's see what your mind comes up with

@@RossOnTheLand Can't build it taller due to the fact the bedroom is on that side of the house and the wife wants a view from there. I was glad it could be fixed and the engineer said once the ridge beam, roof and windows goes on it will be a lot stiffer.

count yourself lucky. there is a local asshole who rides with the jeeps. has an old deuce and a half he welded a huge brush bumper on and hell just take the whole fucking gate out for fun once he gets drunk......cops cant stop him because you try chasing a 6x6 army truck off road in the hills and they dont know where he actually lives or keeps the thing.

As far as I know a masonry bit will drill through concrete, but not drill through the rebar. Most of the time you will miss the rebar, but if you hit one dead on this will not go through the rebar with a masonry bit.

I use mine to mill idont use the sharpener stone why? It will eat your chain in no time the stone is robbing against the hole legt of the cutting tooth not the tip so is eating the thickness of it is a bad idea ,I sharpen mind ripping stile whit a file i can mill 2 hole 12foot logs 18 inch round before i have to sharp again but that is just me

FYI Fill the hole with water first and it amplifies the effect of the blast because you can't compress water you can only pressurize it, so the water comes into contact with every piece of the rock inside the drill hole where as the gas can compress and is less effective alone. So fill it to the top with water and what ever spills out spills out no biggie.
