Sean set up his camera set up a camp and pretends he’s staying there and then at night goes back to his comfortable home and everybody knows he’s a sellout We really don’t care about your long-term health problems. Put that on a separate video. This is an advertisement for your crappy school and we’re really not interested because there are thousands of crappy schools out there just like yours that we all avoid

Let me guess your located somewhere near Ohio or something. I would love to go to a class near where I live in NC. I don't have the money or vacation time but one can dream. That class looks so fun and informative. Shawn Kelly is my dude! I started watching him when the covid pandemic BS started and was wondering if I could just leave these crazy people and go live in the woods and his was the first video I clicked on.

I live in NC too, and was actually at this class. It was a 8hr drive for me. It was a great class. Jake, Shawn, and Kenny are all top notch instructors. This is the course that I gave Shawn that sheath I made that he promoted on his mid week video. But if something like this comes up when you can go to one, it’s really worth it.

It should be said... just in case anyone thinks skills are everything... your most important survival "skill" is being in top shape. Period. You can't be 300 lbs and thinking you're going to survive a serious outdoor emergency just because you can tie a bowline or make a birds nest.

What's the steel? Stainless or carbon? How hard? How long is the hardened bit section? Gerber almost never tells. That's a much bigger problem than not arriving profiled and sharpened.
@martinhafner220119 күн бұрын
Most hatchets don't ship sharp. Then you can pick your bevel style without losing any additional metal. There are reasons for different bevel profiles based on whether you want it to split or chop better. Or maybe you want it to be a crafting hatchet. The manufacturer shouldn't be choosing that for you. Some people like a convex profile for the last half inch or more. Some like a straight wedge with a tiny micro-bevel of maybe 1/8 inch or less. The forest service publishes a printed convex profile guide to meet their standards. Axe profiles are complicated. The vendor should not be guessing your application.

I can't give this video a "thumbs up". Personally I found the title and video to be no more than click bait. While I'm sure the training course was top notch, this video was nothing but an ad for your training course. If you title it as survival skills, you should be showing those skills, not just a bunch of guys camping.

The Zyn can also has a bottom compartment for used pouches like the first can that you showed. Maybe the snare or another item can ride in there to give you more room in main storage area. Thanks for the upload.

Mine doesn’t, but it does have a removable ring big enough for the snare. Thanks for the suggestion though
