I'm autistic and I have started to watch their videos (after watching a documentary from Channel 5) and this is the best interview I have seen. Eric been funny (and fulfilling his goal of making his very best friend, audience and Parky laugh) and Ernie being the gentlemen and loving every moment with Eric. They will never be another double act like them. RIP good Sirs. They are truely missed.

A brilliant entertainer and a genuinely lovely man. Their friendship off screen was wonderful and it was a shock to many when he left us too soon. Hope he's still bringing people sunshine ☀ up in heaven Thanks for the memories Eric ❤ 😊

I really did have a lot of sympathy for any interviewer who had to interview Eric. It could become tedious, as he always had to try and be funny and go for the gag when it wasn't wanted or needed.

Two Ronnies were better. Not demeaning Eric and Ernie, I felt Two Ronnies had better material and had a better style. The problem with Eric and Ernie was Eric, a man who felt he had to always be funny, to the point where it could become tedious.

The Two Ronnies were also really good but when you think of the Christmas 🤶 shows and the various sketches Morecambe and Wise did, I can say that without them, there wouldn't have been a Two Ronnies, a Cannon and Ball, an Ant and Dec or a Little and Large. They set the standard for them all. That's an easy settlement. Cheers 🥂

He killed himself because of Alimony. Every movie he made the money went to his wife. He was too much of a nice guy to not sue his wife for all the money wrongfully taken. You would think a rich guy had some sense in him.

That said, I unfortunately learned about Gay Byrne AFTER which I'm not kidding, it really truly is like a punch to the gut. He is, I truly believe, is the mold of what all human beings should be. At any rate, I'm desperately tried over the years do you listen and or watch archived media footage of him however, nearly all archived footage on RTÉ.ie via RTÉ lyric requires flash player which is no longer supported on Android. Finally, RTÉ Radio app only offers searching of/for podcasts. Again, thank you VERY much for choosing to kindly share. This is NOT his German accent! He spoke German very well and did a very similar evening in Germany in German!- here he imitates and exaggerates a strong German accent in a hilarious way! :-) I met him in person in Aachen/Germany and had a short chat and exchanged some publications. A true genius and an admirable human being!
