Was there any contact? Bilina has no front brakes and no chute, hitting the brakes hard could cause a spin. Did Grubell hit reverse past the finish line? He drove back to the pits, I'm guessing he didn't lose an engine and oil the track. The scrapes and dents on Bilina's car are from rubbing the wall at Great Lakes and other tracks, Bilina does not lift.

I built a 57 Pontiac when I was 16. It wasn't fast like these guys but with a 389 tri-power it was faster than most 283 57 Chevy's.
