If you do this yourself. Probably about $15-20 for the repair ring, a little bit of calk and the tapcon concrete screws. If you call a plumber, it will likely be around 150 depending on where you are from.

The biggest issue I see is servicability, then there's the noise it makes and the paint flaking off. If you were set on doing it that way a larger piece of shs may have been a better choice with some Teflon slides fitted inside of it. Interesting idea, happijac is bloody expensive that's for sure. Nice attempt though, everyone wants to copy the happijac which is understandable because it's pretty much the be ch mark of what everyone wants to achieve

I think if I would have made the sliding part longer it would have fixed the binding issue. That would be my biggest complaint. But It still works, so I’m pretty happy with it.

The swimming pool water will not go inside the light housing/compartment? I’m afraid to get the water back to the junction box where I connect the cables/wire from my transformer
@RoscoReviews7 күн бұрын
If the light was installed properly, it is meant to have water behind the fixture. There is water behind it all the time the light housing doesn’t actually seal to the wall. (this is specifically for the standard pentair lights. There may be lights that work differently)

Do you need to turn on bypass mode on the Starlink?
@RoscoReviews13 күн бұрын
The bypass turns off the WiFi function of the starlink router. If you are wanting to still use the WiFi from the starlink router, leave that setting off. If you are using a different router like I did, then you may want to bypass to eliminate the signal.

Good solution, Ross...question ? I am trying to add Wyze floodlight cameras which use 2.4 ghz frequency. My starlink is a dusl band ...Do you know how to set up a second router to get 2.4 ghz ONLY so my cameras will be independently connected to starlink... Also, will it effect speed or latency ? Any issues I am not thinking about ?..TY Mike
@RoscoReviews18 күн бұрын
Using this Ethernet adapter you can setup a second router. You can use both at the same time if you wish. The speeds with starlink very from day to day (at least for me) but I get the same speeds from both routers. So I don’t think it slows it down at all. I’m not sure about the latency. If you just want to use a different router and not use the starlink for WiFi. You can turn off the WiFi feature in the starlink setting. That is what I do to use my Linksys system instead.
