As a Swede I have seen a lot of old Swedish movies and I love or like many of them. But this one is a bit trying----seen it 20 years ago and now. Olof Molander was a very famous Swedish theater director, he did not direct many movies - it was his brother Harald who was the better film director. This film is obviously rather meant for theater for it is tedious and overdramatic.

Scamming in the 21st century. Scamming in 1947. There is surely no great difference. Always be vigilant & never trust too easily. An interesting & compelling performance by Herbert Lom. Many thanks for the upload 👍.

The title for the film in the US is "Before I Wake" in case it hasn't been mentioned in comments somewhere. It was also known as "Decoy be Damned"

Sheesh! They went overboard making our 'star' the pure innocent. Whatever she said, all I heard when she opened her mouth was, "Golly gee- I can't figure out even the most obvious clues since I'm so naive...blah, blah, blah." Pure sap. Thank you anyway- they can't all be good.

Though it be of minimal importance, this movie is dated MCMLVI (1956), as opposed to the posted MCMLIV (1954). Either way, as is with most all of the movies in this collection it is entertaining and keep your attention through the story line in the exceptional acting❤

I thought it was quite good. Im not an aficionado of the movie, I saw it years ago. I don't know Scott Forbes at all, I thought I knew all those people way back. Maybe he died young ? Hey, I was born in '55 ! Hang in there.
