So many cats need homes. Rescue a cat, don't pay a breeder.

I realize it's my OCD but I wish the v/o would practice proper grammar. Any amount of money more than 1 Dollar, is Dollars i.e. $1000 is correctly read as One thousand dollars! NOT one thousand dollar. C'mon people!

I love the Birman breed. I've had a Blue Point and a Seal Point. Their temperament and beauty are unmatched. I've also had an amazing Korat. They're fantastic too.

All cats are beautiful creatures deserving love and care. We've had different gorgeous stray cats and adopting them is the best way to express your love for them and they will always love you in return with their lovely purrs 😻❤

I recently adopted a four month old Russian Blue from the local Humane Society for $50. This included shots, neutering, cat box and litter and initial vet visit. Always check the shelters, as they always have adorable cats of all ages who need homes and families.

Isn't that awesome? We adopted a beautiful silver Persian cat barely a year old for $25 shots and spay included!

My youngest daughter nagged and nagged me to let us have a "grey kitten" that her friend's cat had just given birth to. I eventually gave in and Harry (that is him in my profile picture) turned out to be one of the best cats I have ever been a cat mom to. It transpires that he was a Russian-Blue mix being an outstandingly striking looking cat being long in limb and weighing in at 7.4 kilograms, he was pure muscle with a definitive Russian blue face, the long aristocratic nose, beautiful turquoise green eyes and the "trade mark" silvery mist sheen double coat of the Russian Blue. I was seriously ill a couple of years ago and he slept on my bed next to me the whole time throughout my illness being an exceptionally loyal and intelligent cat.❤ Harry passed away on 3rd January 2024 because of heart failure following dental surgery. I am still pretty devastated because I feel like I lost my soul-mate. in the future if I ever buy another cat, I will buy a Russian-Blue. Russian Blues' are so intelligent and so easy to live with, but I guess you can strike it lucky and maybe get one or a mix like I did from an unexpected source. I paid only £10.00 pounds for pure feline purrrfection...❤

While all of my cats happen to have been adoptees ranging from shelter cats, craigslist cats, and even the proverbial box-o-kittens, I don't agree with judging somebody who wants to seek out a specific type of cat as a companion. What matters is if they give it a good home and a good life, regardless of where it came from. A person who wanted a specific breed of cat is not to blame for irresponsible owners who let their cats breed freely and add to the population of unwanted animals. It's not just about wanting a certain physical type; cats of a breed tend to share certain behavioral and temperamental characteristics. One of the best cats I ever had was a nebelung who somehow found her way to a shelter. Prior to her coming into my life, I would have thought much like you. Now I get it. The real reason our subsequent cats have come from a shelter and not a breeder, is mainly it would be heartbreaking to live with another cat that looks like her, but isn't her.

Best breed is a moggy (mutt) from the shelter! Breeders steal homes from unwanted cats. So I say adopt, don't shop. Ridiculous to breed cats when there are so many homeless. Pfft!

I’m surprised that Arizona is in this list because where I live there is not that much crime as happening near my area. Probably because I don’t live in a area this is very populated but I’ve seen some people assault other people but that’s rare in my area so I don’t really have to worry but I was thinking into moving into phoenix and after seeing this video this make me think that I should reconsider my decision.

We had a wolf dog when I was a child. A old man walked into the yard a few days after we moved into our house in the country, that puppy grew into a wonderful dog and saved my life and my sisters many times. He would be no where around, then when we needed his help, he was always there. Many old men came by asking for "directions " , right... no old man needs directions from a little girl, but a little girl needs the help of a dog to keep her safe. Thank you to the old gentleman who gave him to us. ❤❤❤❤
