The transmission choice here will be critical. The stock Fiero Getrag will fail above 200 HP.

That is actually not an RCF. It is an RC350 F-Sport. Anyone who knows these cars, can tell easily. Other than the visual cues, a quick way to notice, the V6 sounds you can hear very clearly in the video. RCF has a high-revving V8.

I’m in the process of finishing up a 3800 sc in my 87 GT it’s been a long process. The getrag 5 speed has always made me nervous. But seeing you guys put a built v8 in there makes me feel better. If anyone is looking to do this swap and it’s your first time, be prepared for a journey. Someone commented they make it look easy. That is an understatement. Thanks guys enjoyed the video.

There's some universal mounts but custom, like we did, let's you place the engine exactly where you want it and how.

1 yr. Only 106 views. Why am I seeing this so long after it hit KZfaq. Respectfully, the title. " Mk4 Supra shifter install" would have people looking to install a shifter,find it. It would thus be useful to more people and probably earn you some money to do an Aristo. Supra shifter and BOV install. I've looked at all the Supra videos today in order and your titles need to be more specific. Who searches for Exige vs Supra? Maybe you should edit that vid into two seperate vids.Jdm Supra and Lotus Exige import or rhd. Think about it. Meantime..get a rhd Aristo soon😊

What shifter is that? The throw is so cartoonishly long, I feel like it should be attached to a 13 speed Eaton with a skull shift knob.😂 You should do a short throw conversion asap!

Cant you use a hydro boost brake booster? It might let you push the engine back a few inches.

Yeah we could have but it may have made more problems than it solved lol the engine is in good spot to not have to cut the tunnel and also the coyotes and FRS have electric steering so we'd have adapt a rack, add a power steering pump and lines plus all the work of putting in the hydro boost.

@coolhandedluke the 88s are the most rare...I guess depends on how much and what all is done to it. But definitely a fun car with the right v8.

I would do the same thing and keep the stock upgraded twins but have the sequential system fully checked and worked on so it was reliable like factory new.
