Ummm Move to Alaska if you need “skiing” in the summer

This is the last ski video of the season, but luckily I have the riding season to hold me over. In that case, I have lots of videos lined up for the summer and lots of great ideas. I also want to start leaning towards the cinematic video style. With that, it’s going to take longer to film/edit videos, but they’ll be better and more entertaining to watch. So stay tuned!

If you use a tarp that is white colour and aim the snowmachine on the white tarp the snow that you’re making can accumulate faster on it and last longer. You are going to want a bigger white tarp so you have more space to make more snow. and I’ll tell you the real reason why you want a tarp and for it to be white for your snow making to be better is because white reflects daylight heat and sunlight about 80 to 90% of it and it causes the surface of the white tarp to be colder naturally then the grass is in the winter and grass only reflects 10 to 20% of daylight heat and sunlight to compare it and about the white tarp it will cause the snow to stick on rather than it melting and the good part about it is, it doesn’t absorb any water so that also leads your snowmachine into making more snow successfully.
@ragomtb2 ай бұрын
That is a good idea, though I would only use the tarp for when I’m covering up the snow. It would be slippery also, so I would have to blow a lot of snow in one time which would be hard. Also, with the snow making life/style, part of the cool part is watching it slowly accumulate on the ground/grass. But thanks for the suggestions!🤙🏼
@Clouds-su3dc2 ай бұрын
The thought when it comes to mind, you can make snow on the white tarp for the snow accumulation to be better and then when you’re done dump the snow on the grass after 👍

@ragomtb6 ай бұрын
Yeah it does, I mean it really just is frozen water still. But it’s definitely more compact since it’s man-made. I remember it being a high of 28 and a low of 20. Wetbulb highs and lows of 26 and 19.

Can you buy these?
@ragomtb6 ай бұрын
Yes you can. I bought my off of Snowathome.com. There are a bunch other ones like “backyard snowstorm”. There is also a really good and cheap one I know of on eBay called EOS snowmaking V1. Keep in mind you’ll need an air compressor and pressure washer that are able to keep up with the gun.
@fredholley62485 ай бұрын
@@ragomtb Or you can just make your own with some threaded metal/galv pipe, a couple couplers and a 'y' and a cap with a drilled end hole and a valve to regulate. Son and I made snow for close to 10 years while he was growing up. And of course a water source and air compressor. Not sure they still make, but Porter Cable air compressors crushed anything else we ever tried to use, think model was 4415? But that was 15 years ago...
