Sorry. I didn't actually finish writing up what I did. I can give you the measurements though... Materials: Body: 15”h x width of fabric(wof) 41/42-ish (non-directional); cut down to 15”w x 34”L or 8” shorter than wof Handles: 4” x 15”L (cut from the 8” cut off from the body piece) (x2) When you construct the bag, you are going to turn the body piece so that the 15"cut height becomes the body width which is why you don't want to use directional fabric.

A long time ago, someone told me or there were signs up (might still be, but I don't look at them anymore), that the remnants are 50% off the current price. You might ask in your store how it works there but that's what it seems to be in mine. Sometimes it has been more than 50%. I think the reason I was getting such good deals this time was because I'd guess a lot is on sale for President's Day. Example, MIckey Fabric was regular 11.98/yd on sale for 7.99/yd so the yard remnant cut I got was only 3.99; but the Happy Days 1 yard cut I got was clearance at 2..97/yd so I paid 1.48 because the clearance was not on sale for any additional off. I do keep that in mind, but not enough that I check for sales when I'm there because it seems to usually (not always) work in my favor and I"m lazy. There have been times where I wondered why I picked a particular remnant up when I looked to see what I actually paid. For interfacing remnants, I do check if it's on sale because I only buy interfacing when it's on sale for 50% off and so a remnant that's just 50% off isn't a deal since I can just wait to pick up the size I want at that price. Learned that the hard way... That's a lot. Sorry. Hope it makes sense. I would caution though, no matter what you pay, it's not a good deal if you don't use it.
