Who do I get in touch with about a burial plot or two there
@European-Okie19862 сағат бұрын
@kymSartin, I am not sure. I no longer live there. But I would say try the City Hall there and they might be able to give you an answer.

Thanks for sharing! So many good memories here. We had our Peter’s/Perry family reunions here about 15/20 years back. My Grandma lives right down the road from there. She was a teacher there and also worked there after it was transformed into a boot camp for troubled young men. I’m actually here visiting her here today. 😊 My little piece of heaven. Always a good time for a red dirt refuel. And with the most interesting amazing beautiful respectful respected artistic woman ever? Paradise. Iykyk 🏹🪶💙

They need to fourlane US 81 north to Duncan and south to Red river. The bypass in Duncan needs fourlaning from South US 81 to SH 7 west to Lawton. A Love's truck stop would be nice out west. Bridges with off and on ramps to Plato, Camelback, and Osage with service roads along bypass for future residential, commercial, and industrial as Duncan grows west. Then improvements to Bois Darc, Beech, Elk, Plato, Camelback, and Osage streets need upgrades. Old US 81 aka 13th street in Duncan as it runs south of SH 7 East by the Duncan airport and Halliburton field which are getting upgrades past the Stephens county fairgrounds needs road upgrades to what people call Meridian in the area. Bobs catfish is good food but then you have the old Sunray Refinéry as Conoco/Phillips cleaned up for future industrial park and old abandoned drive in theater. East and south 2nd street of Halliburton where you meet with Family Dollar Distribution center on Cherokee also future industrial area on south to Freedom Biker church.

I used to drive through their a lot and eat at Bill's Fish House and a couple other restaurants there. Though it was small I had an interview for dispatcher but was told too qualified being from Duncan 24 miles north on US 81. Noticed prison inmates working jobs around the Courthouse as the prison is gone now and the old brick streets. Waurika lake and dam were fun. I dont see why this can't grow more as Duncan Regional helps with medical in Waurika. They should be able to attract businesses. Anyway improvements ODOT should extend SH 79 NE to Duncan and Widen US 81 North to Duncan then south passing casino near Terral, Oklahoma to Red.river. Texas would do the rest to Bowie, Texas and US 287 which is to be interstate from Fort Worth to Amarillo though some bypasses of towns would be in order. US 70 East to SH 76 would help. Down in Ringgold, Texas they are fourlaning US 82 from Nocona west to Henrietta, Texas.

My question is about the proposed US 81 bypass planned will it be fourlaned as it connects with US 81 north to El Reno as they fourlane it to Union city and bypass towns such as Minco etc. We all know how the bypass in Duncan was built as a limited access road still needs to be fourlaned south to connect with US 81 going to Comanche then on to Bowie Texas. US 82 is being widened to fourlane from Nocona west to Henrietta will we see Texas widen US 81 to the red river border as US 287 plans to become interstate. Then in Waurika will they fourlane US 70 east to SH 76. Duncan always talks of fourlaning SH 7 east to I 35 someday. Though not much is in Waurika and US 70 east of Ardmore is to be bypassing Madill and fourlaned to Durant then to Hugo and all the way to Arkansas state line. The two lane turnpike from Sulphur to Ada was waste of money and talks of widening SH 19 west to I 35 to widening US 377 aka SH 99 and 3E north to I 40. What about SH 3 SE to US 69 & 75 which might be interstate one day. Then you have US 177 from Sulphur to Tecumseh will they fourlane lane that as SH 9 is fourlaned to Norman. How about SH 1 as it hooks up with US 270 to Indian Nation Turnpike fourlaned then from Ada to McAlester. Lots of ideas I know but Gene Stipe now put away plus all the new toll roads planned in OKC to Tulsa and future Interstates as US 412 possibly becomes an interstate to New Mexico border to I 49 aka US 71 in Arkansas then beyond. Will these expanding roads bring Business and make wealthy people allow progress time will tell. Peace

I Love going to this places whenever I can and just enjoy it, when I have the whole place to myself. I had a day like this in Medicine Park Oklahoma. I had the whole walk way by the River all to myself. I have it posted on one of my videos.

it depends on the weather, they can be some good growth of Apples there if the weather is lush. But if there is a drought, it can hinder the growth of the fruits.
