I disagree. Speaking for myself, I might like a guy enough to hug him on the first date and to think about the possibility of a kiss on the second date, but I'm far more likely to be open to a kiss on the third date if I feel attracted to him. Not wanting to kiss on the first date does not mean I won't ever want to kiss him. It just means I need to take it a bit slower and determine whether or not I feel deeply attracted to him and am picking up signals that he's attracted to me, too. I suspect a lot of women out there who have been in unhappy relationships with guys they became physically involved with too soon are also inclined to take things more slowly.
