I don't think "carried away" is possible with this song. The sound recording needs work, let's be real.....but oh I could hear your heart. And a little Cash ghost, I think. Your voice is astounding, but you need equipment and space help, really. And I so want to see you get those things, you're like a pipe organ in a closet right now! Thank you, we needed this today. Subbed and hoping to see what else you do, dear. If you aren't familiar with The Virgin Prunes...somehow I think you need "Deadly Sins" and "Love Is Danger" Be well.

Thank you so much, I express my gratitude toward your words. My equipment is less than poor, just a phone and the room is untreated, consequently the sound quality is raw amateurish. But as you felt the soul, that's already enough. Johnny Cash, Glenn Danzig, Jim Morrison, Eric Burdon, Elvis Presley are inspiring me constantly, in dark and shining ways. I will check the Electric Prunes, I am not familiar with them, thank you for the suggestion. Be well too.

If it deserves another Seattle Live in my collection I will buy it, I think what you are talking about is a triple cd and contains half and a little more 1970 Detroit concert, CD3 takes 1967-68 TV performances, and even the entire "PBS Critique" of June 1969 ... all with a remastered sound if I remember correctly. Hi Alex my friend I hope I'm not bothering you .. I want your opinion on the bootleg ''Jim's Alive The Ultimate Seatte Tapes''. As I have told you most of my collection, I gave them to my ex-girlfriend. So I start from the beginning again to collect (as much as I can) what I once had .. Well in my opinion the show is very good, despite the technical issues and I like it a lot (I prefer this show than the Vancouver) I remember the next releases be based (and incomplete) from this bootleg. Do you recommend I buy it again? Btw one of my favorite outtakes tracks ever..
@AlexandrosRaXVIII2 ай бұрын
Hello my friend, you're always the most welcome! Tuff bites CDs bootlegs, like Ultimate Seattle tape, are visually appealing but unfortunately they had many issues, acceptable for 30 years ago but not today. I suggest it only at a nice low price and good visual conditions. On a collector mind I love that bootleg only for the historical and visual value, but to experience the complete Seattle 70 concert I would suggest some recent publications on many CDs of The so called "half official" or "radio archives", often on only one CD of 80 minutes making the listening experience much better than changing CDs (to fit on one CD they only removed few minutes of total silence in between songs). On the other hand the best bootleg of Seattle on 2 CDs is Lots of trouble lots of blues from 25 years ago, very rare. But I advice you that the only existing version of Seattle with Mystery train without the repeated singing verses (duplicated by the dumb guy that made a copy from Vince Treanor's reels in late '80s) is the one prepared by KZfaq channel OtherVoices. That's the best Seattle version today but obviously the sound is in MP3 KZfaq quality.

@@coily7776 If you can find Lots of trouble lots of blues double CDs bootleg from 25 years ago, it's much better than Tuff bites bootleg, but anyway for 20 euros it's fine. @AlexandrosRaXVIII2 ай бұрын
@@coily7776 You're welcome my friend! Everything depends on what is your purpose: if you want to recreate a collection of The Doors legendary vinyl bootlegs, then LPs are the most expensive, more valuable but also worst sound quality, especially because played tons of times during the last 30-40 years, often on bad quality turntables with damaged or not correctly installed needles. On the other hand, if you want to listen to legendary bootlegs of The Doors for the magical pleasure of enjoying the concerts we loved to listen to when we were kids, then I would surely go for CDs bootleg. About The beautiful die young, it's the oldest and most valuable but the Toronto 69 Too drunk to fk is surely better looking, openable, slightly better sound quality and has some tracks from other concerts like Santa Clara November 67, Avalon 67, etc. ...Again the choice is up to you according to the experience you want to feel: collection VS listening quality. I would pick both The beautiful die young and Toronto 69 Too drunk to fk CDs, but only if sold at a good price and in very good or mint condition.

I never understood the release without strings and horns, the songs are great, as released in their final form in 1969.. As always, nice perfomance Alex..!!
@AlexandrosRaXVIII3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much pal! Yes, The Doors never conceived The Soft Parade album without strings and horns on at least half of the songs, it was an idea they had since much before 1968-69. Unfortunately people believe that the orchestra was just added by Rothchild, so for decades they asked to remove it.... And the result is sort of horrible, on 50th anniversary bonus CD it sounds so obvious that without strings and horns songs like Tell all the people, Touch me, Wishful sinful etc. sound so incomplete (especially Ray's organ is less than a basic accompaniment), not to mention that for a bunch of songs The Doors called a small horns & strings section also live at L.A. Forum and Madison SG (and it sounds beautiful even on audience recordings), showing those few songs were meant to be with orchestra instrumentation. The only thing that was actually originally conceived in a different way was a modal guitar solo by Krieger at the coda of Touch me (just like the beautiful one you can hear at Aquarius) and it was actually really recorded in studio (you can still it far away in the mix if you isolate the guitar track) but then it was replaced by the saxophone solo (that was longer and then was shortened).

@@AlexandrosRaXVIII By the way Alex, I have the same opinion and I love this album. It has its own magic. NIGHT DIVIDES THE DAY: THE DOORS ANTHOLOGY..What can we expect?
@AlexandrosRaXVIII3 ай бұрын
@@coily7776 I'm afraid two big delusions await for us, my friend: Night divides etc. will probably be just an expensive revision of the book by Beng Fong Torres from around 20 years ago (I think it's called 'In their own words') with "never seen before photos" that collectors already saw since 30 years ago and with the memories from Robby & John that totally don't remember anything correctly ("if you remember the '60s you weren't there"); then Live in Stockholm will probably be an abomination where When the Music's over from the first concert (Jim's microphone didn't work, the sound engineer stopped the tape in the middle, etc.) was "recreated by Botnick" from other versions and the multi-track master reels that are so beautiful sounding that the trailer was done using an excerpt from the studio version of 5 to 1: perhaps because if people hear a glimpse of the actual sound no one will buy it? (As it will probably be worse and less authentic than the bootlegs from 40 years ago).
@coily77763 ай бұрын
@@AlexandrosRaXVIII I'll start from the last one Alex, one reason I prefer old bootlegs (as bad as they sound) to artificial intelligence is what you wrote to me. Cut sew from some other source. I would like to hear dallas from some other original recording than a clean one full of AI interference. You may not agree but I'm sick of it.. Cut sew.. IOW live the official one is "almost". full of overdubs. Nothing to do with the 80s bootlegs, certainly better in sound and performance but not authentic .. As for NIGHT DIVIDES THE DAY: THE DOORS ANTHOLOGY I agree with you Alex my friend ..!! It will certainly be a very expensive version (the genesis releases are beautiful) but also strange in price and I don't know if the content will make us wiser or not, I think not .. I certainly won't pay that much for one or two unreleased (?) photos.
@AlexandrosRaXVIII3 ай бұрын
@@coily7776 I agree with you my friend, the new book will probably be just an almost useless release, we'll see how much it will cost. About AI and excessive use of digital technology (Plangent, heavy noise reduction, editing etc.), again I agree, I prefer the audience tapes left untouched and I consider the so called "remastering & speed corrected" versions just as something to listen to have a different point of view, not as the ultimate truth. About Wight it's more complicated: the overdubs are just some useless notes of guitar accompaniment here and there when the original guitar was almost inaudible (but the solos of guitar and organ are all 100% authentic). Then they put the ending snare rolling of LmF from the last Felt Forum show because the master tape of Wight was probably damaged (the bootlegs versions have the original snare rolling and there was absolutely no reason to replace it, so the only explanation is that the master tape got damaged during the last 20 years). So I would say that Wight is 90% authentic, except those useless guitar accompaniment notes and snare rolling at the end of Light my fire. Anyway let's not forget that sound manipulation on bootlegs started already in late '80s / early 90s with Swinging Pig and Kiss the Stone bootlegs full of disgusting noise reduction No Noise system that totally destroyed low and high spectrum while removing the tape noise, not to mention the horrible Dolby C on tapes that again ruined the sound.
