What kinds of things are you interested in trying with EWP?

@@JPValheim let me put some points here. This mod cut portions of character and near camera stuff, i could modify it into his config file, but the way it works, is badly done. When you aim with bows, is mostly okay, removing the offset get well... But keep cutting portions of the model. Years ago, i used one mod from nexus, where they put camera on the front head of character, remove all in gead gear, not sure how the mod does that, and fixed some floating texts as damage numbers, that mode are much better than this one, because the character cut remove much more immersion than third person for me. I hope the mod owner work on a better way to keep first person, because i removed it, due to this issue on "culling" character and neraby objects. The rest works and are great, but i really not like the final stage of this mod, you can't aim down or run with some itens on hand, because it get really ugly, or if you aim with a bow, it also get really ugly

I see so you are looking for something that keeps first person the entire time. I dont use it that way. I use first person when I want to be more immersed like when im traveling or sailing or running, but then when I fight I zoom out and use third person. But you are looking for something that is first person the entire time, locked first person basically right?

@@JPValheim yes, i literally just use first person in major games, even on thunder war as airplane pilot, i always try to use first person, is another level of accomplishment when you mannuver a boat, a airplane or a giant equipment, also is another level of accomplisment fight against a troll abomination and soo on in first person... Also, the "enemies comming from the back" is a dumb sentence to me, because normally those cameras floating behind the player is not enought to resolve any real treat, but keep killing immersion in games, at least to me. But only for some random stuff, that mod is okay, but overlay is really bad... I have no time now, but i will try make a mod for this game in a month or soo, try to make a really better first person mod, i hope i can understand how to do it LOL

Its not the map that creates the problem so much as the player location icon. Its basically GPS xD Being able to press M and instantly know exactly where you are cancels out a bunch of the game and causes whole entire playstyles to not even develop in the first place.

Valheim world modifieres do not have that option, its either no map or map with GPS. You could use a client mod called nomap printer to do what you say though, it shows a map without GPS

I havent used it much myself but its still updated and was recently updated so I think that it must be installed wrong. Try installing it with a mod manager like r2modman and see if ti works r2modman.com/

Yeah! I dont think that Valheim plus is worth it these days, most of the features it offers have either been integrated into valheim or are available one off with specific mods

You have to do zone=x,y and also maxDistance=1 So lets say your character is standing in zone 32, -12. You want to reset the location right where you are. locations_reset zone=32,-12 maxDistance=1 that would reset all the locations close to the zone you are currently in. Zone resets completely revert everything back to the default. Location resets just reset the dungeons and points of interest.

If you want to reset the ENTIRE world, but not the center altar, then you can do this zones_reset minDistance=2 Make sure to use a copy world first :)

Its not so much that I dont like sailing, its that I dont like being FORCED to sail. Funnily enough, people sail all the time on the server. They just also use paths xD

Theres a mod you can use called "smoothsave" which reduces that saving lag. thunderstore.io/c/valheim/p/Smoothbrain/SmoothSave/ See if it helps

You have to be on the admin list if it is a dedicated server. You can do that by adding your steam ID to the admin list in your server host's settings

Its developed for a no-portal no-map world so it doesnt feel that way, but I think your right on a normal world. But at that point, cant you make that same arguement about portals and maps?

I used to do it that way, but it turns out you can actually make all this stuff happen live. Thats what I do these days. Here were the steps I had to take 1) BepInEx config has a setting that was breaking UWM on my server, I could put a command in, but I would never see the start / stop prompt to get anything running. I had to change 2 values against the defaults in the beninex config file [Chainloader] ## If enabled, hides BepInEx Manager GameObject from Unity. ## This can fix loading issues in some games that attempt to prevent BepInEx from being loaded. ## Use this only if you know what this option means, as it can affect functionality of some older plugins. ## # Setting type: Boolean # Default value: false HideManagerGameObject = true [Logging.Console] .... ## If enabled, will prevent closing the console (either by deleting the close button or in other platform-specific way). # Setting type: Boolean # Default value: false PreventClose = true 2) Additionally, ensure that server devcommands is installed on the server and up to date It'll work live after that - you can literaly reset dungeons while players are right next to them, without anybody having to log off. But be careful reseting stuff around players, it can be jarring for them

Additionalyl, if you want to control the server from discord (on a private channel only you access) then it is possible. Youll need to setup a discord server, and also use the server side mod DiscordControl thunderstore.io/c/valheim/p/CookieMilk/DiscordControl/

I have one of those setup, it shows a total count of deaths since a specific date by each person. I every 20 hours. I did have some trouble getting it to work though. One second ill pull up the config

Do you have the leaderboards added in your webhook events section of the config? activePlayers;leaderboard1 would need to be there to show the active players and the leaderboard1. Heres what mine looks like. @@JackPitmanNica I have mine setup in an extra webhook so that I can display that info in a different text channel. The only event I have is leaderboard1 for that specific webhook url but it is not displaying anything even though the records.db has recorded some deaths. The activePlayers event is also attached to a different webhook url just to test if it works, and it did. Does it have to be accompanied with activePlayers for the leaderboard to work? EDIT: I also have the leaderboard configured to show an all-time statistics with regards to death, 5 max rankings, and temporarily set it to send an announcement to discord every minute for testing purposes.

Mine is working as of yesterday so its probably a config setting somewhere, discord connector has three or four configs that disable other settings so its harder to keep track of all the things one needs to change
