What is it about some artists? They are leaps and bounds above the others? Do you believe in reincarnation? Have they had other lives to practice until they came to this life and were perfect in every way??? They must have!

I think Roger sums up 64/65 quite nicely, thank you. Then you see the next "generation" & the nxt "generation". Youth is amazing! Always evolving. As it has always done!

The only thing, Roger, that's changed is the addition of twenty other people onstage. One girl playing the triangle (ding!); one bloke playing a bongo... But I love ya.

Quadrophenia was a great film too. A wonderfully insightful snapshot of young life for young people in that time period of mods & rockers. Many youngsters today would never understand it, because life under the yolk of ‘technology’ and social media is so utterly different from the days that seem so long ago now, when you had to remember to say to your mates ‘same time here next week then guys? See you then mate take care’. And that was it. You KEPT that appointment, because if you didn’t, you MISSED OUT on seeing your best mates for another full week. LIFE taught you that. Kids today truly don’t know what young life is all about. And now I’m sounding like an old fart! Lol at least we knew how to live. 👍🇬🇧

It's the most important album of my life. There have been times when it felt like it was my best friend, as it was the only evidence of what I was dealing with being understood. And I was a Mod in my teens, so there's that understanding as well.

I got kicked out of the house while listening to this album. My parents always getting drunk. The girl I loved lived in a yellow house. Nothing went as planned by the Sea and the sand. There's more but I've blocked it out. I only recently learned Captain Walker killed the man he found with his wife. I don't think I was ever told before yesterday...

Putting SIR in front of your name means nothing in the UK nowadays. Blair got one, after the day HE did it became valueless. Roger is a TRUE English man who became a megastar but at the same time never, ever forgot where he came from. I really admire this man!

Pete Townshend was the first guitarist to use feedback on his recordings much to the chagrin of the polydor sound engineers. As for the violence between the Mods and The Rockers, did the Mods know their music idols were diehard fans of rock & roll?

In 1975 I went for English learning from Switzerland, we were a bunch of young Swiss boys and guys , when we went to London it was SOOO exciting and we caught the Tommy Movie. What an experience. These people were like unreachable Gods in our life. Now, we are so close to them because of social media. They are as great as ever.

Well, no. The Beatles weren't doing Sgt. Pepper already in 1965. I think they began working on it late 1966. They probably did Rubber Soul, which they released at the end of 1965.

They may have made happy, pop-y, teenybopper music, but it was GOOD music. I just watched somebody's cellphone video of Peter singing at Epcot, May 2023, and he still slaps. I still know every note, every beat. I still love the songs.

Compare that to John Entwistle saying, "We'd blow the Beatles off the stage..." Well, loud volume isn't everything, right Johnny? (RIP) In a hundred years when people read or hear about the "Who," that's exactly what they'll say -- "Who?" At the same time, the Beatles will still be revered.

Would be great if the maker of this “film” lost the music under track while people they interviewed spoke. Music, especially with annoying singing at equal level of the subject speaking is super difficult for viewers to hear.
