I think, we can say "being attacked by a tiger, he ran away ", "Having been attacked by a tiger, he ran away " and Attacked by a tiger, he ran away... We also can say "He, attacked by a tiger, ran away "...

Yes, you right ! But Being attacked means The was attacking him, and he was running. Attacked/Having been attacked means he was attacked , and then he ran away .

@@learningenglishwithindrajeetks Sir, I'm not arguing but "being + past participle " can be used for cause and effect or sequence of events.. For example " being exhausted, he wanted to take rest", "being arrested, he was taken to the police station " these are not parallel actions...
@learningenglishwithindrajeetks
@learningenglishwithindrajeetks 6 ай бұрын
Yes you are right It depends on verbs used with Being. Verbs could be of short action, long action, state etc. Being + past participle( used as an adjective/state/long action ) expresses continuity . For example, Being exhausted(adjective), he did not go to play. Being taught(long action verb) (by his father), he did not go to play . Being loved(stative verb) by me, she did not marry her. All the three participle clauses show continuous process. The continuity was the reason for the action in the main clause. But Being arrested(short action), he ....... Being invited(short action), he came... Here in these two examples, being is optional. You can leave it in the sentences, no problem or you can take it out. Meaning will remain unchanged. but being + past participle ( working as V3 in a passive voice ) talk about a continuous action. I might be wrong here, but this is what I feel.
