Just wow! I think I had started this video and forgot to come back to it until now. What an interesting couple... they really totally escaped the nonsense of US politics and are living the good life! Art, and healthy living is the way to retire successfully! I truly admire them. It's strange how so many of my family and friends got into the rut of just chasing something that no longer exists in the US with the Political downers! Thanks for such a nice interview, Jose! Loved it!

Here are a few things that are established facts: since Trump started trade war w China, Mexico rapidly took on the role of number one trading partner w US . last year the United States imported @6% more from Mexico than the year before. US has imported more from Mexico for last 4 years. Because of trade relationships between US and Mexico and Mexico and the rest of the world have hundreds of large companies investing tens of millions in Mexico and additionally small to medium sized companies are investing millions in Mexico. The Mexican peso is one of the top five currencies for investment. The Mexican economy is doing very well, compared to Mexico, compared to it's neighbors and is one of the top performing economies measured. Many professional investors have Mexico on many lists for real estate investors.. Now for non facts . opinion.. born raised educated in United States. Embraced idea that US was one of or the most free place in the world.. living in Europe and Asia and now in Mexico..I was wrong and many places including Mexico have equal freedom.

@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels 14 сағат бұрын
I already covered it and debunked it. This is simply not true at all. You can do a quick search yourself and find absolutely nothing on the internet except a few youtubers who are talking about this without ANY evidence. If this was a true story it would be ALL OVER the News. The same people saying this also have absolutely no proof to back it up. If it was true it should be pretty easy to find Any Mexican official talking about it. But as i said as soon as you try to research this in English or in Spanish there is no credible evidence of any kind.

I really like your videos because you talk about how really Mexico is and not only the ugly side. What I don't like is that with your videos you are inviting gringos to go and live in Mexico. Unfortunately there are a lot of racists people that treat Mexicans awful in USA and when they go to Mexico they want to live like kings and queens feeling that they own the whole world.

Thank you for the kind words. Like I explained in this video and other videos I'm trying to let other Americans understand that having that kind of horrible behavior will not be tolerated in Mexico. Especially Now that Mexico is "too expensive" for them. Which gives you even more reason for you guys not to tolerate it. Mexico is now like a High End Hotel and that kind of trashy behavior is not allowed in a civilized country. In time less and less of them will come to Mexico when they realize they are not wanted here. Only nice and respectful Americans, all the bad hombres can stay in back home in the USA.

Can understand MX has a lot of independant small businesses, people just working on the street selling tacos, used clothes, books etc. You can call them illegal or undocumented, under the table businesses Can't believe it's 70% of the economy Guarantee you the DR's, dentists, IT guys, mechanics and professional people that have legal businesses all pay into the system with income taxes. The peso is 18.4 - 1 usd today, was 16.7 in 2023, 20.0 in 2022 and 13.0 in 2014 I really believe Mexican economy is in the process and has the potential of exploding due to all the new manufacturing and other new big businesses One day it will get close to the economy of the US and the peso value will go dramatically higher vs the usd Glad to hear MX has all kinds of worldly food as most of us who never went there can only imagine tacos and burritos , yuck !
@JoseArteagaTravels

Actually funny you mention that about certain professions paying more into the system. The reality is that Doctors, Dentist, IT Guys, Mechanics Handy Men, even certain GOV Employees all prefer to get paid in cash for the exact reason of not having to report it and thus not paying tax on it. Mexico is also a very Cash heavy and Cash friendly nation which is what gives people the Freedom to formal or informal, all depends on if you are using cash or mastercard 😅

When it comes to rules: if you can explain to me why the rule exists I may comply with it. Like stopping at a red light so you don't run people down. But many of the laws on the books tweak my sense of justice. There is a "no camping" law in PDX. All it does is give carte blanche to the police to harass the homeless.

Question for next week: Both my parents were born in Mexico in the 1940's. My mom divorced my dad in the 60's or 70's and I haven't seen him since. She remarried in the 80's to a Mexican national that was living here illegally and divorced him back in 2006. Is it possible to get my citizenship with just my mom's information or do I need my biological dad's info too? Is it possible to get my citizenship done in Mexico or do I have to start the process here in the United States? Can you help? 🤔🤔🤔

Great question! Yes you can get your Mexican Citizenship! Here are a couple of videos with more information kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mNt9hMil2bbJdmQ.html and kzfaq.infosDRVo5le3iQ?feature=share I'm pretty sure all you will need is your moms Birth Certificate linking it to you and in this case your parents Divorce papers and you should be good to go. Even if your mom doesn't have them you can get it in Mexico in el registro civil. You can also reach out to Aaron in the first video for more information. His email is in the description of that video

In the US it is not possible to just have your house taken. If you fail to meet your obligations as a citizen and a home owner then there is a way to have your assets seized, but that's on you. The house isn't taken, you lost it which is a big difference and fair. You have the freedom to not be an idiot, which is freedom.

I have lived all over the USA and traveled all around and in many rural/conservative areas of the USA it is all about the Rule of LAW and respect my authority type of mentality. I'm not a fan of living in a place so full of LAW & ORDER. Now on the Flip side in areas that are more liberal minded they believe in "rights" my right to act like an a$$ my right to complain, my right to be offended. Either way I'm not a fan of either and much prefer to live in Mexico where its more about common sense and not so many people on power trips. Thanks for sharing

Hate to disagree with you jose, right now the dollar is stronger compared to last year. Mexico in fact has dollars exported along with petroleum from USA. So who knows if mexico will get stronger in their economy in the future. mexico does benefit alot from americans and mexicans living in usa sending their dollars to mexico. Although Mexico is not perfect, has a long way to go to be a better country.

Love and tolerance should be our creed. I live in a Mexican neighborhood in Merida. There are 20 different kinds of neighbors on my street. Each of them does something slightly different than I would, such as playing the music louder. I tolerate their actions because it gives me more freedom. I can't have freedom unless I let them have freedom to do what they want. I grew up in the 1950s and 1960s. In arkansas about 1962, the neighbor two doors down had a bulldozer parked in his front yard. It sat there for several weeks , but it was no big deal. The kids loved it because we played on it. There is no spiritual book which outlaws most of the behavior people want to enforce. God didn't say it was a sin to have 20 items in a 15 item check out lane; nor did He say parking on the wrong side of the street would send you to hell. Living in Mereda has increased my tolerance of others. Why should I get upset about little things which have no significance in the overall scheme of my life. My biggest problem in Merida is tolerating people from California and the United States who grip about loose dogs and trash on the street. Learn to accept what people here accept. There is a lot of wisdom in the saying: when in Rome do as the Romans. 😊😊

I agree about the Californians. I live in TX, and I spend a lot of time in Mexico as well. Anytime I meet one, they need to give me their unsolicited opinion about something. I was on a tour in Oaxaca. Most people I meet ask me where I’m from and we have a nice chat. One Californian I met, kept complaining about Texas laws, and would not shut up about their political opinion. I didn’t ask for it, and I didn’t give mine. But I felt like they were reprimanding me for just being from TX. Another couple I met in CDMX in the xochimilco boat, ask me what kind of coffee I drink. When I told them I drink KCups, I had to sit there for 30 mins while they lectured me on how I was messing up the environment by drinking KCups. Even made the rest of the group uncomfortable. I don’t think Californians realize how they come across with all their complaining. No one cares what you think.

That is absolutely right, America isn't as free as they think or ere lead to believe.

I thought he was nuts back then, but as time has gone by I always remember that guy and how right he was. Not too long ago they were interviewing a Chinese Citizen about the propaganda in China and he said in the US people believe the propaganda they are given while in China we all know its pure lies so no really listens to the propaganda. But as you said America isn't as free as they think or are lead to believe. Thanks for sharing!

@@JoseArteagaTravels so many rules and regulations, fear of gun violence, can and can't do this and that, structure everywhere. Plus the middle of the country is even more so, I lived in Tulsa Ok, WOW that was a culture shock, there Its all about religious non freedom, tip toeing around being reprimanded for saying a visa word like "shit" or "god damn" I was ridiculed for saying those things where I worked, plus they wanted to know my personal religious and moral values before I was considered to lunch with work colleagues, I told them my personal views were private, I never got invited to lunch again, lol I was definitely on the out, because I didn't adhere to their strong strict code. I felt extremely restricted and repressed living in some parts of the US. I grew up in New Zealand where people weren't looking over your shoulder or dictating what you should or shouldn't do.
