My blades have a lot of rust spots all over the blades. I rinsed and used fan blade cleaner. Lots of dirt came off, but still this rust or rust like stuff will not come off. What should I do?

So my carrier I could actually slide out the face, set down while wires still attached and clean the fan blades with a tooth brush and a vacuum and slide right back in. Took like 15 minutes.

You didn't need to cut the hole that big. You could've stopped at that 2x4, and avoided those corner slats.

Who would be the appropriate contractor to call to do this? HVAC, insulation, general contractor?

That's where the lines from the head unit run outside. All mini splits have them, but most are hidden behind the head unit.

So we are not going to talk about that installation? When you make a whole for your pipes below the unit instead of behind it, you know you should have hired a professional

Hey guy, could y’all do a video on cleaning an outside condenser that’s mounted on the wall of a house, travel trailer or whatever; that goes with that indoor mini split part? Would greatly appreciate it. I’m 68 & 1st timer on this. Soc Sec doesn’t stretch far enough to hire it done. Thanks so much.

Foam outside coil and rinse with water hose, no disassembling required!

What do you clean it with?
@jeffjeffhomeandgarden Жыл бұрын
I use coil cleaner. You can find it in hvac supply stores or online. Ive seen people use degreaser or dish soap with good hose pressure should do the job.

Make sure the wheel spins freely by hand when putting back on shaft and in cage before you install back in air handler

There's no water coming out of the drain line outside and our air recently stopped cooling down. The air isn't very cold coming out of the vent but the hvac is on when the thermostat is on cold. But the house just doesn't cool down

No need to change the whole system. Just replace the motor. There are shaded pole motors and there are cqpacitor start motors. If you get the shades pole motor you have one less maintenance thing to worry about because you don't have to worry about capacitors going bad. You could check if you have a capacitor start motor. Thes capacitors have electrical power even when the system is off. Capacitors are easy to find online and they are the most common cause of an HVAC motor not working if you have the type of motor that uses a capacitor.
