It’s the ice build up that’s restricting the flow for the cold water dispenser. This happens with many different brands and models. Solution is to turn off the cold water switch in the back for a few hrs and it will start dispensing again.

Potential buyers please read these alarming comments. I’ve had my Avalon A5black Bottleless dispenser for a little over 3 years and the unit doesn’t make cold water anymore. There seems to be no fix anywhere. For a unit costing around $230 it should last more than 3 years. Even my old Primo lasted 6 years before it went out. Do not buy Avalon. They are junk.

Put new filters in. Solenoid valves don't open. No water comes through. What do you do?

This is WAAAAY too much work. Y'all need to simplify this for the customer. Like a button that will auto drain and feed crystals from a little chute. The customer should NOT have to take anything apart.

It leaks off and on whenever it wants to and the cold / hot is turned on. Then the leaking stops for a period of time and starts up again. My son thought if you put the bottle in to far it make it leak. But it doesn’t really matter when it’s leaking it’s leaking. Wish I knew why

Anyone else having condensation problems?... I've already looked into these "solutions," and considering many people do NOT have an internal seal, the provided fix isn't even an option... That meant disassembling the unit, looking at hoses, confirming that they were properly seated and that any zipties were sufficiently tight or replaced... My discovery is finding water staining on the bottom of the cold water pipe (not the hose), which drips down onto the upper metal tray before spilling down onto the condenser, filling the bottom tray, then finally spilling out from the bottom of the unit... Again, the hose is not leaking and I pressure tested it to confirm no water leaked where the hose met the metal tube... Additionally, though a small amount of water was standing in the unit for a period of time, after being unplugged, water did not leak from the other metal tubes (including the one for the thermistor/thermostat) connected to the water tank... Tubes are poorly insulated in the first place... So... What is the actual fix? Better insulation? A new thermostat/thermistor? Or is something else?

This is an excellent video! Couldn't have cleaned my unit without it! However, I'm disappointed with my Avalon water cooler in general. The water itself tastes great, but it makes cloudy iced tea. Adding this difficult cleaning process to cloudy iced tea, expensive filters, and the cost of having it plumbed in, I wish I had just stuck with my Pur pitcher. It makes beautiful, clear iced tea!

You can tell this company doesn't know shít about maintenance. You NEVER let anything hang using electrical wiring as it'll wear and may even break the wiring causing you more headaches to an already shîtty product. "Avalon. The world's most reliable water coolers" 😂 MY AŠS!

My wires were connected seal was good. Machine has been out of water for about 2wks. I pulled cover and manual moved float swith so far working. Just a stuck float I assume.

I'm just under a year with my noisy machine. I called customer care, but they just tell me to visit a site or email them. The machine constantly primes (That's what it sounds like) 2-5 times per minute. I'll be in the living room and hear it, PURR a few seconds basically non stop for the last 7 months. If anyone is wondering what sound I'm talking about... just drain all the water from the tanks in the cooler without a replacement bottle...then fill up a bottle and stick it in the cooler and listen to the pump charge/prime the cooler tanks. That's what I hear on average.... 40 minutes an hour round the clock. Now on my 2nd set of new filters and I have ZERO good things to say about this machine since the filters are so expensive.

Water from Avalon Bottom loading dispenser taste like plastic even through cleaning, dont buy these devices, they go so cheap the plastic smells and taste bad.

That white cover is a lot harder to remove than she shows. I thought I was going to break something.

Im here because my cold water button is not dispensing water. I've reached out to avalon on their support site. Waiting to hear back from them. The hot and cool buttons are working as expected. Looking for ideas on how to repair the cold button as my purchase is at 23 months and out of the 1 year warranty. Had I known this would fail so soon, I would've purchased the Amazon 4 year warranty as it looks like this product doesn't last that long.

I'm now being told to remove the spout . I can't even access it. I've bought 2 different 🪛 but I can't reach it with the positioning of everything.

These instructions are useless! These water dispensers are garbage. They work for about two years then start to fail. If you contact customer service they send you a link on how to take it apart and try to fix their trash product! The bottom line is they will not repair anything and just tell you to buy another unit from them. I would not buy one of these ever again!

I replaced my water dispenser over a stupid water sensor that shut the whole system down. Yeah after replacing my water filters, the lights were flashing and I didn't know why ! The reservoir was empty and I didn't know why ! I tried to get in touch with you people and you people would not pick up the phone to help me troubleshoot this simple thing , and even after I filled out a service questionnaire of what was going on on your website. You people never called me back. Luckily , I got an extended warranty and I got my money back over a stupid situation that you people failed in communication. Answer the phone , will you , help those people that have trouble- shooting issues of these water dispensers even if there simple !!!
