Thank you so much for commenting! I will update the description. Are you also playing the lead guitar on “My Dixie Darlin”? They have the camera on David, but he’s clearly playing rhythm while someone off camera is playing lead.
@gbrmusicАй бұрын
@@braedenpaulsbluegrasspreservat No, I'm still on bass. I'm pretty sure David is playing the lead out of the chord positions.
@boolaurasingerАй бұрын
@@braedenpaulsbluegrasspreservat yes David is playing lead.

Braeden, Karl Shiflett here! During the introductions they mention Summersville. Must be Summersville West Virginia I'm assuming early to mid 80's. Melvin Goins was a regular emcee at Summersville for years. About 1985 I was part of a group known as Southern Heritage and we worked many shows with this group of girls. In fact I had them in Groesbeck at the Civic Center. The particular lineup of the Wildwood girls is early eightys I'm pretty sure.

Uncle Harold also did a Sunday evening gospel hour on the radio every week for 30 plus years. Maybe longer. I know mom has quite a few tapes of that. It has alot of our Turner family singing on it as well as our Uncle Hubert preaching. As i said, i will get some stuff and post some on our Stonewalls channel soon. Ive got one audio of Buster, Harold, and Paul Williams on it singing a few songs.

Me and my brother Jeff had a group with our uncle Harold for several years. We miss our precious ones who have gone on. I have some tapes of Granny, Buster, Harold and Bill. Ill do my best to transfer them to my computer and upload them. Mom should have a bunch of tapes and maybe video. Ill see what I can find.
