Aprendí algunas palabras y expresiones. "Tome asiento, por favor", currículum, "esto sería todo", ejemplificer, unirme a una empresa", "nunca dejo que eso interfiera con...", etc.

Ok, that was helpful! En el primer ejemplo, escuché muchas palabras acabadas en é o í. When you said "saqué a Max", I heard "saquea Max", and my brain didn't know what it meant. :-). ¡El contexto! So, a lot more practice is what I need! Creo que entendí la mitad, más o menos, la primera vez. Dijiste "ayer ... estuve editando". Estoy tratando de entender cuándo usamos eso, y cuándo usar "estaba editando". ¡Ah! Tal vez acabo de descubrirlo. Dirías "estaba editando ... cuando algo pasó", pero "estuve editando" si eso es todo lo que querías decir. ¡Me cuesta un poco escribir en español!

Si entendiste la mitad estuvo muy bien. Exactamente si quisiera hablar de dos situaciones puedo utilizar "estaba editando" Por ejemplo, estaba editando cuando mi hermana llegó. I was editing when my sis arrived.

That was really clear, thanks!. Using Ser for the location of events is hard to remember :-). I think now what's confusing is the past tense of Ser and Estar. Suddenly there are four choices instead of two for "was"!

I just think about all the Spanish words I know but then it gets tough thinking about tenses, plurals, masculine and feminine,etc. and then on top of that to put that stuff in sentences and statements and questions. 😪

What I think is the best is start writing. I'll start with verb to be. With that you can do a presentation of yourself and others . Then I'll work with present and when you feel good with that you do past. You have to try to talk since the begging doesn't matter if you make mistakes.

I hadn't heard "para ir comiendo", or "no es para tanto", or "de aquí para adelante, etc". ¡Gracias! Maybe in English we would say "This would be a good day for/to..." for estar para, o algo así.

That was interesting! I've never spent a winter in Maine, but we used to spend the summers there, in various places, but mainly around Jackman. I have to think Oaxaca would be better in wintertime!

Hola Diana. Espero que estes bien hoy Lunes 29 de Abril 2024. Hay tres cosas no estoy seguro como decir bien en espanol, por eso, estoy pidiendole por favor, un poco de ayuda. (1) No se si son correctas esas oraciones...... (a) Siempre enviarle a mi papa cartas para que supiera como estoy comportand. (2) Tuve que comprarle a Alfonso tortas cuando visito la ciudad, porque me hace lo miso. Y numero tres (3) Como dice en espanol broken sidewalks? We have many broken sidewalks in the town..Tenemos muchas aceras rotas en la ciudad???? NO SÉ! También puedes decir banqueta en vez de acera. La banqueta está rota o en muy mal estado. Puedes decirlo de está manera. Espero que no estes enojada conmigo, Diana!! No estoy molesta, espero que esto te ayude.

Este video fue muy util. Ahora estoy entiendo mejor el uso de los pronombres directos y indirectos. Por ejemplo: I give it to him. Yo le lo doy (raro), (sounds strange).. Yo se lo doy....Se lo doy. 2)I gave them to him.. Yo se les di. Se les di. 3) I gave the jacket to him. Yo se la di (a el la chaquta). Se la di (la chaqueta) 4)I said it to her. Yo le la dije (x) (raro) Yo se la dije. Se la dije.
