You're in europe right? As far as I know, rid is not required for self built drones in europe. Either it's sub250 without rid required, or over 250 and falls in category A3. Only prebuilt rtf drones like dji need to be certified in C1 for example from from the manufactoror directly. It must have rid for the certification. Unfortuatly this rid module has no benefit for self built drones in europe.
@babang_des24 күн бұрын
Thanks for the clarification b I would suggest you read more about this brother! You might end up in big trouble.
@chrisbee548124 күн бұрын
@@babang_des Just had a look if anything changed. Speaking for my local rules in germany, which are actually the same as the EU rules: Self built drones over 250g to fly in the *open* A3 category dont have a CX *certification* and cant get a certification even with RID. RID is not required to fly legally and has no benefit to add RID needed to comply. Although I read up france needs RID for All drones as a local law. Maybe Im wrong, but Im heavily into all drone stuff and havent heard of the german fpv comminity needing to add RID to fly. Maybe someone else here from europe can tell me Im right or wrong? But dont mix RID module with the law that you still have to register your pilot ID and Note it on the drone with a Label. Thats the law here. Needs to be ensured too. Thanks bro
@babang_des24 күн бұрын
That is true. However this is only if you flying at a non populated area. this is so confusing as ever country have the own local rules on tope of the EU regulation.

Thanks for the great video Babang. I really appreciate you creating content that I find interesting, informative, and entertaining. I comply (GRUDGINGLY) with this remote ID bullsh*t, even though it does absolutely nothing to improve airspace safety. On the contrary, it just gives criminals and Karens tools to attack compliant drone operators. I personally use the Holystone unit linked below. I like that it has it's own battery and I can swap it between quads quickly and easily by attaching it the battery strap. I got mine off Amazon and it's about $20 usd less expensive than the unit you are showing. There are pros and cons for each, of course, and I appreciate you showing your gear. I am from USA (Arizona) to answer your question. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻 Holy Stone FAA Compliant Remote Identification broadcast Module Spare Parts for GPS Drones with Camera for Adults 4K, Remote ID broadcast Module Parts comply with US FAA Regulation; No worry about FAA a.co/d/1CMalvV

Thanks for you comment. The one you show is fatalistic but at 13.9g compare to 2.5g.
@Sonic_Ox24 күн бұрын
I agree. The weight is the big factor, and is the tradeoff for having its own battery. For my purposes, the quick change ability is worth the weight. My quads that exceed 250g in all up weight can carry the module easily, but I can see how you long-range flyers would prefer the lighter unit. Every gram counts when range is your most important factor. I bet we'll see manufacturers add RID capability to flight controllers in the near future. It would be cool to be able to flip it on and off with a switch, too. Thanks again for sharing your adventures and expertise. Happy flying amigo. 🫡 🍻

The key is to take off with a warm battery! I put the batteries on the floor of my car with the heat on them, the when I’m ready GPS and all that then I plug and send it! I try to keep my throttle around 30 to 35% all time. I turnaround when my battery hits 3.6v or 3.5 v minimum.

Great video and thank you, I think I will go with freewell because of the “bonus” PL filter. Can always add the warm gold color after. Did you order the freewells from their main site? Btw what do you keep your white balance at? 5600k?

Good choice! The PL is really good to remove flares and give you a more saturated color! And yes you can always make it warmer or cold on postproduction.

Nice! Super clear explanation, I like the clean look of the Freewel ND. I'm actually surprised that there was something nice about the auto settings, as it looks like it increases the dynamic range (going from darker to brighter parts, without clipping on one of the two sides), if somehow you could keep the shutter relatively slow (maybe 1/60 - 1/120 s) while also (slowly) adjusting to surroundings it might make for a nice balance.
@babang_desАй бұрын
Yeah as you saw to keep everything balanced then you can’t keep the shutter fix, since it will be too bright. Even when I took the ISO at 100. Auto on everything is actually not that bad for a GoPro, only if you want that Cinematic look then you might want to go with nd and all that stuff! Otherwise the auto is doing just fine. Still would never suggest someone to film in Auto 😂
@FjodorvSАй бұрын
@@babang_des Nooo I wouldn't use auto either, but maybe if they could slow down how it changes exposure it could be worth using
