I did a Upgrade bid on a Celebrity Tour. They make it clear : if you win that Bid..you will have the Room, but NOT all the benefits that comes with it, when booking with the originally price! So.. no sanctuary a.s o. ! Feels like a Landlord, with no land..

Not a huge fan of changing the rules or options after booking. I understand being able to upgrade at times but not happy when they make confusing changes after the fact

I'm actually booked for the Sun Princess in a Cabana Mini Suite late next year. I'll be curious on if they will open the outdoor Cabana deck to all Cabana suite rooms. I've seen some videos of guests not staying in those deck 9 Cabana suites still having access to the deck.

Im pretty sure you get the sanctuary benefits! It comes with the suite. I think. You are rightfully confused. You should ask Allison of Let’s Go Travel Tips. She knows this stuff. You will get a refund on the specialty dinners.

This is funny! I have one cruise line that we use, because it's simple. I've thought about trying other lines but after watching this, I am glad that we have stuck with this one cruise line. It's more expensive, but we like it, it's not for all but every time I try to go to other cruise line websites I get confused and then just leave the website....

I’d like cruise ship buffets to move towards what upscale Las Vegas style buffets do where many of the items are served on individual small plates. Less food waste and more hygienic. I’d also enjoy more live cooking stations where the food is freshly made for you on request.

My wife and I just got back from the Toronto to Duluth Viking Great Lakes Octantis cruise. Your video captures in detail our experiences. We did have an upgrade to our state room on deck four. The bathroom and room were larger than the one you showed. Storage was not a problem And they did not have the L-shaped closet you mentioned. We were in cabin 4023. I don’t know what the difference in the upgrade is to that type of cabin, but it was well worth it. We have booked our Antarctica trip in the same state room. We have sailed on Viking river ocean and now expedition ships and I’ve never been disappointed.

You can buy a cheap (~$10) cable adapter that gives you a USB-C receptacle so you can connect any USB-PD power supply that can provide 20 V at 2 A. I've been using one with my ember mug for the past couple of months and it works great!

@@CruiseReport hey, thanks a lot! I looked at them, but almost a 400 passenger capacity will be too much for me in Antarctica. It seems however the more passengers, the more the luxury. It’s hard to weigh between the two, for long journeys that include S. Georgia/Falklands/Antarctica.

My husband & I are finally able to go on a cruise & Silversea is the only line I want to go on. Should we book directly or use a travel agent? If a travel agent, can you recommend? We have never even been on a honeymoon. This is a big deal for us. Thank you for what you’re doing! Also, is door to door worth it? Also, seems like we will be going on Silver Moon bc we are in PA and our nearest port is NYC. We can also do Ft Lauderdale- but I think they’re both the same ship. I wish they had a round trip from NYC back to NYC. That would save us money on airfare & 2 days off dog boarding, not to mention time. Enjoy & safe travels! PS: your wife is just beautiful! God bless!

My wife and I just did a B2B on the Ray from Venice to Athens and back. Actually had a Sunset Suite right down the hall from you on deck 6! Agree with much of what you said regarding the menu’s however, we found the food overall to be quite good everywhere we ate. The ship is gorgeous and personally, we loved the design. What stood out above all else was the crew! In a word, uncompromising! Our butler and room steward were spectacular! The entertainers, all outstanding! The shore excursion, reception teams, and service staff at Art’s Cafe, all remarkable!! Our only complaint, too hot in July!!😂

Thank for a great video and excellent review of the Level 8 luggage! I have purchased the 26 inch yellow and black for the reasons you specified. I was about to start packing and decided to check KZfaq for reviews that might provide some pro tips for packing this luggage and found your awesome vlog! I laughed when you mentioned the packing weight because I was anticipating that problem. The luggage seems like it is so easy to pack, one can easily forget that weight will be a factor when flying. Thank you again for a very well done and informative vlog on these Level 8 products! Safe travels! 😎😎😎😎

Just found your channel, I'm a solo traveler, but in your demographic (65 y/o). Right now, I'm choosing my next line as I'm branching out from my usuals. Without first doing an in-depth search of your videos, etc., you said in the beginning you've done all those cruises, including river cruises -- the greatest, life-changing (in terms of fulfillment and bucket lists) "river cruise" was on my 60th birthday on a dahabiya down the Nile. Different from "enclosed river cruising", diving off the railing into the Nile along with the crew is like nothing you've ever experienced emotionally. So I'm curious -- have you sailed on a dahabiya? (if not, I'll give you the name and details but KNOW that you must must must do it!!) Okay, off to watch your videos 🙂

It's my experience there’s hardly any kids on a transatlantic cruise so you probably won't get a good feel if Princess is going in the family friendly direction. Would like to hear your impression of the new Sanctuary class if you decide to upgrade to a full suite. Have a great time!

Last summer my buddy and I stayed in downtown Vegas for his birthday. We were on the 22nd floor of our hotel, however we could hear the music from Fremont street all night. Well until 4am. And I don’t mean just a slight background noise, we could sing along with Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys all night like there was a stereo in our room. It didn’t bug me a bit. Slept like a baby. I can appreciate that some people don’t like noise. But going over every tiny thing in the room on its decibel level is overkill, especially on a 45 minute video. TBH, how loud the drawers close is irrelevant when you’re on a cruise through Alaska. If you’re even thinking about it, you’re doing something wrong.
