小林さん、こんにちは。この録音ですが、４，５年前まで "Home Recording 1965"として、私のチャンネルに上げていたのですが、CD化して売りたいという理由で、関係者らしき方より削除を求められました。その後、CD化されたとは皆目聞きません。そこで、アルバムでない形、つまり、シングルでアップすることにしました。この音源の価値を分かっていただける方に聴いて頂けるのは、まじで嬉しいです。有り難うございます！(*^^) Take

サブッチさん、こんにちは。この選曲は、クラレンスによるものと思います。ドックは、果たして、Djangoの影響を受けたのでしょうか？少々、疑問です。よく分かりませんが・・・ この録音は、Tut Taylor との共演を彷彿させますが、その際、クラレンスは終始一貫してリズムギターだったと記憶します。この録音でも、あくまでバック・アップのクラレンスでしょうか？曲によっては、ドックではなく、クラレンスがリードを弾いている気がするのですが、如何思われますか？(*^^) Take

確かにこれ以後の彼らのアルバムから推察するとクラレンスの選曲というのが正解ですね。カーネ゙ルズのライブにおけるこの曲は彼の生涯のべストパフォーマンスと言ってもいい驚異的ピッキングで、ブルーグラスの概念を変えたかも知れないほどの名演だと思います。

Merle was more of a finger picker so the two had contrasting styles. Funny thing is, tho Doc is known more for his flatpicking style, I always preferred listening to his fingerpicking ie., on Deep River Blues & WIndy & Warm for a couple of examples.
