There's a grizzly sow that is literally (no pun) raising her bearlettes BY THE ROAD FOR SAFETY. May not be bad habituation thought gh idk.

Solid documentary. Well done, clear and informative. Thanks Sadly the '21 fire season saw the Dixie Fire, Caldor Fire, McFarland Fire and others just run amok in California. This year is a slower start due to snow pack and the intense winter rains along with initially cooler temps overall. But the wildfires are coming.

My pleasure! Indeed 2021 turned out to be an interested fire season, and now in 2023 with all of this growth that is lovely and green now, we shall see what happens… We have “Fire Year (Part 2)” in the works now, BTW! - Mark

@@Landmark717 Agreed on the nice growth and green. I work wildfire support (in base camp) and we're all thinking the same thing - when this green gets hit with the heat and high winds it'll be dead and prime fuel. We're all just kind of "hurry up and waiting" right now..... waiting for the shoe to drop. New Mexico got pounded last year with multiple large fires. "We shall see what happens" as you stated so well. Best of luck with Part II - looking forward to it. Be well - and Be Safe

I own property in the ANF and fire is a major concern. During the Bobcat fire I installed 3 fire pumps and reconfigured my water storage system oriented to fire fighting rather than residential use. But I can not depend solely on that. I do brush clearing every year. In fact, depending on the rain, I sometimes need to do it twice a year. I’m not complaining, that’s just the way it is. Yes, it is time that we manage our forest based on the lessons we have learned in the past.
