What would you recommend for rpm's for the motor? I just put mine together and I have no clue which motor I should use

I didn't realise that would have plastic chassis rails, bit of a let down from OH in my opinion, I may draw some up and have them plasma cut in stainless

Hi Ian, yes it is a bit of a shame. might be possible to add some strips of brass behind the rails to add in some strength but not really looked at it closely yet.

If you mean the tamiya tt02 chassis then no. The receiver/esc unit is only designed to run the tiny n20 / n30 motors used in 1/32 models

No it doesn't have channel mixing for full 4ws options. You could implement a simple always-on 4ws using a Y-splitter servo harness but otherwise not.

Very interested, I’ve built some 1/32 conversions perterbuilts etc lowboys. But this would be cool also to go with my g scale train collection I’m venturing into scaled scenery w/ scaled rcs 😉

It’s awesome to see a smaller scale (and more affordable) rc semi truck, shame it’s yet another Scania… these manufacturers do know other truck brands exist right? Although at this scale it’s probably not too difficult to 3D print a different cab..

I have my kit in transit at the moment. I'm (not) looking forward to the lighting soldering and routing nightmare. Great point on opening the holes on the wheel hubs. I'm having trouble removing the wheels on my military truck wheels at the moment.

Endless ideas already 😅 Great unboxing Mark 💯 There are a ton of new unique parts for this one. I agree with the N30 motor upgrade. It's going to need the power to tow all the stuff we throw into the trailers. 😂😂😂 I'm assuming those hub adapters will work to join the M01 M02 wheels together also.

cheers @alpinerc1295 :D Not furitek, the chinese one that came out recently - I think we may be stocking these soon. It has fantastic control and really strong drag braking. I'd like a touch more speed but overall it is really nice.

The plastic ones are fine for scale trailing, which is what the truck is designed for, but since we wanted to beat the snot out of it with an oversize motor on extreme terrain, $30 worth of shafts seemed like a pretty reasonable investment :)

Does the brake function actually work, does it brake the motor?

yes it brakes the motor but it is a racing setup, not a drag brake - you have to push the trigger forward for brakes and to get reverse requires a double-tap. The brake function also only works with sound enabled.

I ordered the kit and they didn’t put my apartment number on the package so the post office was ready to send it back luckily I went and picked it up before they put it back on the truck

I love this but its a shame they used 3d printing. I dont like paying top dollar for r and d prototypes. For the price is should all be injection molded quality

It simply isn't possible to injection mold a cage of this complexity and remove it from the mold in one piece - 1/10 cages such as the wraith etc are molded in separate parts and screwed together - also not really viable when working with 2mm dia tube. This is not your typical homebrew PLA print; an industrial process is used and the polycarbonate material is then hard-coated. 3 months in we have yet to have a customer reporting a broken cage. All other plastic parts on the truck are injection molded, and you also get photo etched metal details. If it is a prototype then OH-Model must have a very well resourced R&D department ;)
