Historic? Try "medieval"! I lived there for 4 years. Heaven on earth. Thanks for the video

Watching this video is fascinating. Its like the Miranda Priestly blue sweater scene from Devil Wears Prada. They're talking about truffle oil and molten chocolate cake like they're cutting edge things, becuase at the time they WERE cutting edge. Now you can get truffle oil fries from Applebee's and molten chocolate cake from Domino's. It's crazy how things evolve. Trotter's influence on fine dining can't be overstated.

So bam can set the deadlines and the government have given an open ended contract. This is just crazy you'd easily know this was taxpayer's money and not theirs.

Hint for visitors to (anywhere, really, in) Italy: how to find the best balance of good food and keen prices: find out where the priests eat. They know!

Yeah, but be careful about over consumption of wine if you follow them too closely!

We having been to Italy many times, my wife and I have travelled all over-the northern half, anyway. We hope to live long enough to get south, someday; but there is soooo much to see up north, 1:50 especially. Anyway, this year we will be spending time in Mantova-and right away I can see from this really very good video that when the guide says, “Mantova is just like telling all the history of Italy in a nutshell,” He’s not kidding. I’ve been told Mantova is called “the Florence of the North” but what prospective visitors might not realise yet is (and again, quite obvious from this video) that Mantova looks just as if some giant had taken Florence, Bologna, and Venice, and kneaded them perfectly together. Stunning blend! We can’t wait!

Did you manage to visit the cemetery? Augusts family had a silk factory. There may be graves if we knew what church the family belonged to.

You forgot to mention that if you would like to enter every single building in Pisa esp if it’s famous , there’s a fee attached. We just got back from Italy (and visited Pompeii, Sorrento and Rome), and enjoyed our visits. Italy is a fascinating and interesting country ! I just wished they’ll keep it clean.

Thank you for this video that I could watch. I’ve been to Norway and these areas that you showed but of course they are so much better than when I was here in 1970 but I enjoyed it and never ever forgotten it. We were with our two girls and my husband and I.

I do feel for the people, particularly kids, whose lives are treated as a tourist attraction. Particularly those kids gaming on computers. But overall, this is a pretty good video. I’ve been to Ollantaytambo, taking local transport and backpacking with my husband and then 4 year old. We had a wonderful week! It helped that I am Chilean (though I have been an Aussie since the age of 5) and speak decent Spanish. My husband found it just as amazing, and our child loved it too! I now have another kid who is now 6, and I’d love for her to get to see it too.

Hello Dennis. Thanks for sharing. I love your video very clearly and detailed. Do they have private taxi at the Loire to take us to different Châteaux? I don't know if its better and save money to take the fast train from Paris and take taxi at the Loire or take private tour from Paris. Thank you!
@denniscallan21 күн бұрын
Taxi would be expensive, but there are minibus tours you can get which do a good job, especially from the city to Tours, which is a good place to stay a night or two.
