Dețin atât L'instant cât si Heritage amebele varianta Edp si sunt printre cele mai iubite parfumuri din colecție.Am tot testat parfumuri si nișă si designer dar totuși Guerlain are ceva aparte sunt de o elegantă si de o calitate cu mult pentru prețul la care se vând sau ma rog s-au vândut fiindcă variantele mai vechi sunt greu de găsit.Mă simt norocos că le dețin si imi pare rău că nu se mai produc aceste parfumuri minunate!

Love your videos and analysis! Fo me, Ambre Sultan is by far the most "spiritual" fragrance I have smelt. It transforms me to an isolated, empty mosque room at dawn. So special. Only added it a week ago, and like you, I am too late for it.

Believe it or not, my first Habit Rouge was the Privé. I absolutely loved it! Then, the parfum version arrived, and I got it, but unfortunately, I didn't like it as much. Now, my favorite is the EDP because it's the closest to the Privé. It's not better, but since the Privé is discontinued, I'd rather not finish it.

Fils de Joie is one of the most beautiful perfumes I own. I absolutely adore it! Wonderful review.

haaaa... i tested Habit Rouge Parfum ... kinda like it ... but i´m not a fan of overly sweet fragrances like Lira :D .... if this is very similar to Lira or Italica it´s fair enough to get only 30ml of Lira or Italica ... have you tried Italica from casamorati ?

Iris Pallida was the only standout to me...I am constantly thinking of getting a bottle at the back of my mind...and doing a lot of perfume math to justify it lol. I really like the rose too 'on paper', the way it transitions is fantastic but rose is a tough genre with so many exemplary roses out there, it did not wow me enough. I recently repurchased Samsara after a long while so it will be interesting to compare both.

I was familiar with Salome first (since its inception) and discovered Amouage Gold Man much later (in the current formulation). I think Salome and some other early niche discoveries helped me to appreciate the exquisite beauty of something like Gold Man. One good thing leads to another in my case. I was quite intrigued by your other perfume references. I've been meaning to repurchase Mitsouko at some point, and will keep an eye out for a Habanita decant.

This is so beautiful and unbelievably underrated and affordable. I agree that it doesn’t smell like anything else. But also agree it reminds of Shalimar. I’ve always found Jaipur to be an eastern version of Habit Rouge EDP. Also in the same realm of L’Instant de Guerlain. It’s like if Annick Menardo was tasked with making a 90s Guerlain. EDT is less spicy and way less clovey than EDP, btw. It’s like if you removed a lot of spice from EDP and slightly increased the verbena and vanilla. I’d say EDT is closer to Roma Uomo than the EDP. But they’re 85% similar and both excellent!

What a great review of two of my favorites. I just discovered Gold Man and I wore Equipage for years as my signature in the 80's. Guy Robert also created another first men's scent for another great house, the original 1976 Gucci Pour Homme. I wore it as my signature for years until it was discontinued. I still have good back stock, bought when the prices were more reasonable. It's amazing. My brother's girlfriend was from France and when she came to visit me she gifted me a bottle of Equipage they picked up for me in Paris. Again, I wore it for years and have a good supply of vintage back stock as well. As for Gold Man, it does somewhat remind me of a masculine version of Chanel No.5. However, although the notes are different, it gives me a similar experience to wearing vintage Guerlain Habit Rouge EDT. They both share the civet note that takes it into that skanky yet so very elegant animalistic territory. It's definitely my favorite from Amouage and my favorite new find for 2024. Truly the Gift of Kings!

I also found florabloom and flora salvaggia to be kind of not-so-distant distant cousins. I prefer flora salvaggia because of the melon.

Wore rose centafolia a couple of times and got bored with it. I don’t care how much effort they put in extraction, there’s a limit to how good any raw ingredient smells, and it’s laughable for Guerlain to pretend they have elevated it, that it is worth anything near $600 for 50ml.

Where can you get access to the vintage red bottle ?

Recently I tried the 14 scents in the Meo Fusciuni discovery set. While I found most of them artistic, the performance for all except one is dismal (2 hours!) and while I don't mind re-spraying once during the day, given the price point of these, I won't be buying. No surprise that the longest lasting one had tuberose (Odor 93). BTW: I just discovered your channel and was pleased you mentioned Après l'Ondeé, as it was my signature scent a few years ago. Interesting how each nose perceive notes so differently … I didn’t get the olibanum as the central core of Dans le Bleu (which is not discontinued). It reminded me very much of the opening of Womanity - algae, seawater, ambergris without the animalic funk. However, Womanity is closer to salty marshes mud while Dans le Bleu is sparkly, clean and airy. It reads perhaps too clean and therefore reminiscent of functional fragrances in shower gels. SL/ CS have done many iconoclastic fragrances that I love: Iris Silver Mist, Chergui, Sarassins, most of the Bois variations, Borneo, MKK. Dans le Bleu- while lovely- just didn’t resonate as much.
