I am so glad I found you! I just spent the entire afternoon looking at volunteering with IVHQ. The more I read, the more uncomfortable I became. They give a price and then as you keep reading other costs start to pop up. However, where you are going to stay, what you will actually be doing, and with whom is very sketchy. Thank you.

Hey Harvey! So happy to see you healthy 😀 That disease was really bad, we were really scared for you! Mica got something similar and passed out in the hospital, so you definitely gotta be really carefull when going to these remote areas. I hope everything is going well for you!

Hi, are there organizations you're aware of that are specifically good for providing medical aid in foreign environments? I've heard of this organization you mentioned and would like to avoid that experience. I'd like to volunteer in central or south America as well but I'm open to other foreign locations as well.
@HarveyStanleyTravelsАй бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your message. I would recommend having a look on workaway.com there may be some opportunities there and I know maximo nivel have some in Central America. I hope that helps :)

So do you recommend Maximo nivel? I actually just applied for the sea turtle trip to Costa Rica through IVHQ it would be my first solo trip out of the country so I’m a little nervous especially being a female. I just want to make sure I’m safe.
@HarveyStanleyTravels3 ай бұрын
Hey! Yes! Maximo Nivel will really take care of you and your safety. They do have fees to pay as well but not as expensive as IVHQ. I hope that is useful to you.

@HarveyStanleyTravels3 ай бұрын
Hi there, If you do go the IVHQ route then you will have to pay for everything (flights, accommodation, and all that stuff) and to apply I would look on their website. But I would not recommend IVHQ.

How touristy is this loop? Are you constantly seeing tourists?
@HarveyStanleyTravels4 ай бұрын
Hey David, this was actually a worry for me as well! But the loop is soo big you only see people when you stop at the sights like the big flag pole and things like that. While on the roads maybe you will see people and other groups but you will or they will just drive past. Hope that helps :)

could you drive this by yourself? without being an experienced driver ? or without any experience
@HarveyStanleyTravels6 ай бұрын
Hey! Yes sure. BUT I have a lot of experience with driving these motorbikes and there were lots of points where I thought to myself “I am glad I’m not driving” because it can be pretty scary. But the reason I recommend doing the easy rider is because you really get to sit back and just enjoy the journey. I met a lot of people who drove themselves but they were normally the people who fell off 😬 So if you do drive yourself I would recommend take a day or two before just driving all day. Because Vietnam traffic is not like anything you have seen. I hope that is useful!

Hey Jess! I don’t know anyone who has bad weather. I wouldn’t worry about it and as you can see the roads are not to bad, but if you still feel a bit on edge from what you see, I would recommend the ‘easy rider’. Hope that is useful to you :)
