This is all vague, lets get the nuts and bolts ....what are all the cables and component needed to use the vibe tracker...how does the data get sent to steam VR with steam VR works? No channel has details .

Of course the latency and limitations can be offset by more powerful and more expensive computers. I imagine that the first full budget blockbuster movie to use this technology will have a system far more expensive and capable than what a TV show is able to use economically

You mention that some Sony cameras can hook up to the PC without a capture card and while that´s true it doesn´t help with Unreal. At least I haven´t been able to find any way of Unreal recognising the incoming video even though Sony Remote and OBS for example are showing it just fine...

Unreal is now only used for Previz at ILM. They have programmed their own software.

If you want to know the best equipment to start in virtual production, I’d recommend taking a look at my ‘Getting Started with Virtual Production’ video, which covers the best equipment/technology for different budgets. If you’re leaning more towards the LED panel side of VP, I’ve heard a lot of talk about a company called ROE Visual, so they might be worth checking out.
