That's amazing! Is that Crayola white clay you're using? Crayola makes my favorite clay and their white clay looks exactly like yours. I made a toy African elephant out of terracotta recently and was very happy with how it turned out. I wish there was a way to transport pottery so I could sell my work.
What clay do you use for making things like bowls and tea cups?

She uses it to score the clay, I don't think she used slip while scoring because her clay wasn't too dry and it all looked to be the same constancy. Slip and scoring when you put different pieces together helps secure the overall work to ensure that the work will not fall apart either while drying or being fired. If you use clay from different times you risk the clay not being the same consistency, meaning one clay could be too dry or the other too wet. Use clay from different batches and not using slip and scoring could lead to your works breaking or even exploding in the kiln.

Love it. When I was a kid this was the most interesting thing to do, but sadly I only played this alone because no one had the same passion like mine. Besides that the clay I used to mold things was taken from 8-10 meters deep underground when people dug wells, Therefore it was quite dirty but very good for molding things especially truck, bus, auto, tank that could roll on their own tyres which you can hardly make with industrial clay. I often spent many hours to look at trucks, autos and buses in reality and tanks on TV to remember their shapes and details. It's disappointing that I had to stop this passion.
