Oooh! Look at that lightning! It's a heavy one. But that's the beauty of nature. Its balance, its cycles. You see it a lot in the summer. Enough blazing hot days in a row and you can tell "Yeah, we're gonna get a big thunderstorm to balance this all out."

It was beautifully cloudy here all day, absolute heaven, and then cleared off just as the sun was going down -- so I am so happy to have found this. It's completely cozy and the perfect accompaniment to all the work I was supposed to have done earlier lol. Thank you for sharing!

Growing up, my family and I would travel to my grandma's who lives in the Maryland countryside, it was beautiful in the summer. Sadly, over time much of the farmland has been bought out and has transformed into an unrecognizable landscape of busy roads, crammed apartment buildings, and various strip mall type of places. It's agonizing to see the land you admired change into something that is now not so peaceful and quiet.

I can understand you! It's really sad to see places you loved change for the worse. My grandmother's village has also undergone irreparable changes. It wasn't industrialization that came to it, but devastation. People began to leave, houses became empty, once functioning buildings collapsed. The place I had loved since childhood became unlike itself.
