@@BevMattocks oh I’m sorry that happened. It’s good though that you were able to understand what caused his unexpected behavior, that is was a common medical / uti symptom. I had no idea about this until yesterday after my mom went to the hospital. I was scared of how out of it my she has been, rather suddenly.

But do to the onslaught of pre and post pandemic filing desperate 's and the unfortunate dysfunctional condition of that federal agency there hasn't been a damned thing any one could do to budge nudge or even simply establish a one on one communication.......🤷 with any individual there whom make decisions regarding Disability for the SSA 😮 and this draconian unaccessible entity denied my Brother's claim to lawfully entitled too benefits. Twice 😮 an adjudicating writer authored up a letter of explanation it read: "an uncooperative claimant unwilling to provide medical evidence of an alleged disability"😮 how, what, why, could this happen ? 🤔 lot's and lot's of reasons ! My dad was just diagnosed with dementia. He already gets aid and attendance, but we have to move him into a memory care facility that he cannot afford. Once his savings is gone I don’t know what we’re going to do, will the VA pay for memory care facilities?

I have been looking at assisted living for a relative with dementia and its been hell getting one to accept him with medicaid. They are all pretty much private pay between $5000 and up. Once the resident funds run out they are either evicted or place in one of their medicaid beds if available.

made me think of one mistake I almost made - the first place I really liked didn't have enough parking. Found out the city requires 1 parking space per 5 customers based on expected daily attendance.

Each state is so different that licensing requirements would depend heavily on your state. We always advise individuals to speak with their state adult day association first to learn more about licensing in their state.
