Looks amazing!!! Definitely going to try these! Do you think one can substitute the sweetener? Perhaps with honey or maple syrup?
@AnnErasmus4 күн бұрын
Thanks 😊. Yes there are many recipes that do not use artificial sweeter, here is another one from Ann kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9uRmNNoz82vkmg.htmlsi=WD43JX4sss9FEJOn No harm experimenting though, good luck 👍😊

His AnnM - this is the best video on this topic I have seen so far. Like all things do-it yourself, they never go easy, and I was having a hell of a job to get the grub screw out. Its so hard to see inside the hole. Your tip on just loosening it enough, may be all that I need. Thanks

Good video, totally valid that corned silverside can be used & get decent results vs fresh meat. I've found getting flavour INTO it much harder as the brining process already done. Spice mixes are personal, as pointed out just roast those coriander seeds to bring the oils out in them & improve flavour. Excellent overall video, well made - thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to do such a well done video. You explain everything very clearly and thoroughly. I love it when people call everything by their names instead of "this thing or that thing". Thanks again, now I know how to change my cistern's sitting washer. 👏👏👏

Excellent video; clear and informative with the two crucial tips about seating the washer and cleaning finally solving the issues I had been having! I will note that for the Caroma Hi-flow style mechanisms, I only had success when allowing the (official spare clear /thin) washer to flare up off the plastic base. Given it's meant to seal with the outlet and not the plastic part, this makes sense.

My tag didn’t start to separate by turning like yours did, so your method did not work for me. I was able to cut the back disk down to the center with the wire cutters, then was able to fit the wire cutters around the pin. But it took lots of cuts and took a toll on the fabric.

I have reasonably good luck with my crispy crackling on pork by starting off properly preparing pork. First remove that mesh thing and use a sharp blade (knife or kitchen only box cutter/stanley knife to cut through rind but not the meat. Rub in cooking oil of choice (I use Rice Bran oil but reg olive oil sounds okay) rub in the salt so it goes all over rind, especially in the cuts. Start oven at closer to 215 degrees celsius for 30 minutes and then reduce heat to 180 and cook the rest of the time required by the size of your roast. 10 minutes before end of cook time check and if not crackled enough turn oven to grill mode (still at 180 degrees). Then if roast is ready remove from oven and crackling should be perfect or close. If crackling isn't quite there remove from roast. I return crackling to oven under grill for another 5 to 15 minutes, checking every 5 minutes... or you could try putting paper towel wrapped plate of crackling in microwave oven at about 70 percent power for 30 seconds. Pull out, will crisp up even more once cooled.

I’m adding a new floor which is a bit higher than the original. Can you cut the height of these ikea toe kicks. Or is there another solution? Thank you
@AnnErasmusАй бұрын
I don't know of any other solution, I have cut them before. As long as you do not damage the slot that the retaining clip fits into. Not a nice job, good luck 😊👍

This video and the earlier one showing how you and Ann make the drawers are both excellent. I found the supplied instructions quite confusing in places but these videos made the whole process a breeze. IKEA should just put a link to your videos and save a ton of paper!!

Thanks for the video mate! I'm in Kentucky, USA and no one around here has any experience with Caroma cisterns. I bought this years ago when dual flush was new here in the States and Caroma was the best at it. But I've had a time getting my new washer to seat properly. I'll try your advice and see how it goes. g'day!
@dougwachs2 ай бұрын
well, looks like the soap and knife trick made it work. I also had not been really careful to keep the washer placed uniformly around the seat - it was mishapen a bit - I sorted that all out and it seems to be working. Thanks again - it was a real help - I love my 20+ year old Caroma and didn't want to replace it!

Thanks for this. I've been hating looking at the doors for years. It looks much better. It could probably use taking apart and squaring off the cabinets, but I'll leave that for some young person; I just can't go through that🙂. It's in a closed off room.

IKEA have done a really good job with these Metod plinths. Unfortunately, I have the old Faktum plinths which weren't nearly so easy to fit! I'm just about to start replacing the doors and side panels of my old Faktum units. I'd planned to replace the plinths too, but they're in decent condition so I've decided to prep them with ESP and then paint. A lot of the clips have broken, but they're still available on eBay, thank goodness. Quite a bit of work, but easier than cutting new plinth pieces to size and faffing around with the dreaded iron-on tape!
