I found with Olanzapine that if I tried to cut down on my eating, then I would be exhausted, so I put on weight. It is a heavy duty drug for heavy duty problems. If someone has schizophrenia then there can be serious outcomes, so they need something to reduce psychosis and there aren’t any good options. For bipolar 2, the anticonvulsants work well and have a much better side effect profile.

Zyprexa is poison, and Eli Lilly should cease to exist because of it... but the people who control Eli Lilly became embraced by politics... and so there was maximum damage-control on their part, which nevertheless led to the largest criminal fine in US history.

I have a couple questions and I hope they get answered. When I used to smoke weed, and i used to smoke tons of weed, I had such a high tolerance for it before I was hospitalized. After I was put on 10 milligrams of xyprexa at night, 300 milligrams of gabapentin 3 times a day and depakote, and was in the hospital for three weeks, after I come home, weed would just simply make me really paranoid and I would have paranoid thoughts of people coming out to get me, that I was being punished, that God was angry with me etc. Then I don't take it for a long time, get insomnia during 2020, then I personally take the gabapentin and xyprexa only at night to fall asleep. I cannot fall asleep without my medication. Then in early 2021, I start having a car phobia. As of now the phobia is getting better, but I cannot go on highways, and I have to take backroads. I still take my medication. Is there any way I could reverse the side effects of these drugs, so weed doesn't make me paranoid anymore or is this permanent? Is there any way this medication can cause high blood pressure and increase my bad cholesterol levels? How come my psychiatrist said that xyprexa doesn't directly cause diabetes? He literally said the same thing your psychiatrist said. And he has been about my third psychiatrist. Is there any way these drugs may have caused these problems that I am having and are there any stories with people who have similar stories as me? I want and I need to know this, and I can't find anyone that can help me because they all tell me I need to take my medication. Any help will be thoroughly appreciated. Thank you.

I was on olanzapine (zyprexa) for 7 months for schizoaffective disorder and when I was weened off I had withdrawals for 9 weeks. I have never had suicidal ideation but when I stopped taking this medication I wanted to die. I would wake up everyday at 4 am throwing up my stomach bile feeling anxious, paranoid, depressed and as mentioned earlier, suicidal. Olanzapine made my life a living hell for a while.

When it's working that fast it means it's absolutely working too fast, it's forcing, it's safer to take a benzodiazepine to take this crap to be honest and I really think that big Pharma and the FDA are both together on this crap. Like I think benzos are way too demonized nowadays and as much hate as they get they can help people more which would then turn into these other pharmaceutical companies not selling their antipsychotics when somebody has something like panic disorder they can't get a benzodiazepine anymore they have to take antipsychotics and ssris combined? That's a little screwed up for the pharmaceutical Industries to think along with the psychiatrist that go with it,

It is a notorious drug but it does work for some. This is just anecdotal and subjective experience, but there’s a whole lot of it out there. Anecdotal is the least compelling information though, but a large amount of it can indicate something is happening.

They tried it for my headaches and I took 2.5 mg. Thank goodness I did cuz I wasn't able to wake up from my sleep for 2 days. I took and threw it away and told the headache specialist that I would rather be awake than asleep. I am now on clonazepam bcuz of my trigeminal neuralgia and nystagmus and anxiety. I am also going on my ADHD meds I am hopeful that the mix between the two I will be normal.

That drug is demonic they put me on that for freaking nausea that was caused from benzodiazepine withdrawal that I did not know I was having because I was on Klonopin for eight years at that time every night that the doctors told me I could abruptly stop. Well, I got really sick from that and took Cipro Floxin for a month couldn’t eat throwing up every day the hospital put me on Zyprexa. I also had burning skin and I couldn’t sleep from the benzodiazepine withdrawal so that is another reason why they put me on the Zyprexa. It did not help with anything. It made me want to kill myself every day. I am still in drug withdrawal from several drugs, that those stupid white coat wolves put me on.
