I face with similar problem. The middle solenoid shaft is the issue. It become tight overtime. Spray wd40 right in the center, make it loose by pulling and rotating the shaft a couple of time. Fix the contact and it works..

I just looked up the on/off codes for the repeaters and figured out what you were trying to do! Great to see it in a video rather than just hearing the DTMF codes on a local net and trying to make sense of it. One question though, do you have to change your CTCSS tone when contacting the distant repeater? I noticed that VE6OIL has a 114.8 Hz tone whereas VE6QE has no CTCSS tone. What happens when you want to connect to a repeater that has a tone other than the origin repeater's tone (144.8Hz)? -VE6RIZ
