Don't take the name "Dry Creek" for granted, because its purpose is to function like a water gutter to transport water elsewhere.

I think most people don’t take flash flood warnings seriously. Turn around, don’t drown!

So many people get caught in these crazy torrents!! It’s nice to be warned.

Do the snakes hidden in the washes not come out to high ground due to vibrations?
@rankinstudioКүн бұрын
Not sure, always wondered that.

Did you hear about the flash along the SanJuan river on 6/21/24 between Bluff and Mexican Hat, Utah? 1600 cfs to 20,700 cfs.

Saw vids of it online. Nutty one.

Oh, I like it, I love it, I want some more of it! Good video. In the old days, elders (American Indians) would make spreader dams of stone in arroyos. That prevented flash floods, and when the dams filled with silt, they raised crop there. Ranchers with the blessing of having these dams on the place maintain them because it means good feed for much of the year, and agave hearts for (cough :) other things. Strictly medicinal purposes, I'd sure.
