Cant you just spongify it
@necoyuri
@necoyuri Ай бұрын
Spongify is useful for people who like gaps, polygons and hinge. Heavy use of polygons and hinge makes Algodoo slow, so it is not suitable for creating complex devices or many objects.

HOW THE DO I MAKE IT WITH SPRINGS?
@necoyuri
@necoyuri 3 ай бұрын
In Algodoo, a spring behaves like an object with an axis of rotation attached to both ends of a rectangle if the values of constant and damping are made very large. At about 1:50 in this video, two of these are attached and the connection point of one of the springs is superimposed on the other to make it act like a rotary axis.

The legend returned, happy new year!
@necoyuri

Hello everyone, it's been a while. This time I am going to greet you a little longer. Firstly, I still receive occasional channel subscriptions and comment notifications, which makes me very happy that my channel is still being watched by someone. But at the same time, I feel very sorry. I got so busy that I ended up making only one piece of work in the past year. Besides, all the data on my computer has been lost due to my personal problems. It was barely recovered from the backup data, but some of the new data was lost. Also, when I accessed algobox to retrieve some of my most recent data, I realised that the site had been sealed off... Some places on the Algodoo site, such as the home and download pages, are still accessible, but I wonder if Algoryx has finally decided to abandon Algodoo, which is very sad. I thought about stopping making artwork this year because of these things, but I felt that if I didn't at least make this one, I would never touch it again, so I rushed to make it. I'm just making one new number based on the old data, but I'm posting it as a survival report as well. I am sure that the intervals between posts will be longer in the future. For this I apologise and thank all those who have been watching this channel so far. I will not delete my channel or videos, and I hope that my videos will continue to inspire ideas and skills in as many Algodoo builders as possible. So, have a happy New Year.

I am sorry, but I am not sure I understand some of the messages due to my inability to DeepL.. Because of I don't have a deep knowledge of marble lace, it seems to me that many similar pieces have been published recently. I hope that the techniques I publish will spread and creative works will be more created.

can u show the stabilisation system ?
@necoyuri
@necoyuri 2 жыл бұрын
Sorry, I am cheating on the stabilizer because I can't make the hinge stabilizer work in Algodoo: ......Algodoo uses the inertiaMultiplier parameter to ∞ (+inf ), I am using this because of the specification that the angle of the figure is fixed. This is the same for the walking machine I built.

@necoyuri
@necoyuri 2 жыл бұрын
thanks! Algodoo is 2D-simulation software, so it may be difficult to reproduce 3D movements.. I think it's possible to recreate some of the mechanisms in a flat surface.

How did you do that thing at 0:48? Mine just fall apart, while yours slide lol. Here is what I did: 1. made a rectangular boi 2. made a clone of him and put them next to each other 3. grouped together 4. turned "no self collision" on 5. glued together 6. cloned that structure and put it inside the previous one those "pairs of rectangulars" just don't collide. Did I miss something? Edit: I gave each rectangular boi in a pair a different collision layer, so when I cloned the pair, I flipped it (rotated by 180), and it worked! Still dunno if that is a better way to do it
@necoyuri
@necoyuri 2 жыл бұрын
There, after duplicating and arranging the rectangles, you need to turn off "Collide with Water" on one of them before grouping. You can also see how to make NSC rails in this video( kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Y6-pabdh38-ymKs.html )
