This show was AWESOME! 🎭 I had no idea #COVENANT was a thriller! We were told it was 90mins w/no intermission & once you leave you can’t re-enter (NOW I KNOW WHY) I’ve never experienced a theatrical event like this. It felt like we were all trapped in the basement as the set had doors all around the audience that slammed & opened & I started to sweat, the audience screamed, the lady beside me grabbed me-we all yelled, we jumped in our seats & even laughed at the conditions we found ourselves in. 😅Truth is Nobody could re-enter b/c it was dangerous!! The all black cast of talent from schools like #Juilliard & #Broadway shows like #Hamilton acted their asses off! This script by #YorkWalker was so creative & on the way out 1guy said nobody would ever sleep through this show #FACTS! The sound design by #JustinEllington was sooo creepy & good

I find it interesting that the show closed, and yet Stephanie still earned a Tony award nomination (Absolutely Nothing against Stephanie) like I said I just find it interesting that the show had already closed when Stephanie got nominated. Why did the show close anyway?.

So glad I found this interview. I teach this play in my theatre history class every couple of years. Listening to Mr. Margulies and the Roundabout creative leadership talk about the revival is so refreshing! I think my students should listen to this instead of me! Wonderful that you shared this. Can't wait to return to the Roundabout and the Laura Pels.
