Is there internet access or services available there
@NaturalStateRebels27 күн бұрын
There's usually a cellphone signal for internet. We have a booster and have not had an issue yet.
@caseycalhoon81227 күн бұрын
@@NaturalStateRebels reason I ask is my wife works remotely for a DR office and needs reliable service
@NaturalStateRebels27 күн бұрын
Our cell booster has worked great. It's best to ask the gate guarding company you work for where they'll send you, then look online for your cell provider's coverage map. That would give you an idea if it's possible to have a signal. But a booster is a necessity as far as we're concerned. Nearly all of the oil field workers have them. We have a router attached to the booster antenna that holds 2 sim cards so we can pretty much always get a usable signal. We use AT&T and Verizon.

Potatoes should be bitten, not dipped in soup. The potato must be hot. Potato stew looks like a kugel, but... Although it's probably delicious too.

I like how you explain the passport book and the stamps in there. I bought a stamp series for a couple of years, but I find it difficult to peel off the sticker (assuming it's like a decal). Any idea?
@NaturalStateRebelsАй бұрын
Thank you. I wanted to make the video to help others because it's so confusing. No idea why the stickers you bought are difficult to peel. Some stickers seem to be more difficult than others. I wish they made all stickers with a split backing - those are so much easier to peel.

I was at Goblin Valley SP once a few years ago. The sky is extremely dark on clear moonless nights so thousands of stars can be seen shining quite brightly. I am planning to return in August 2024. I am 73 years old, hike alone, and never carry a pocket knife. I couldn't cut my hand off to save my life. You would love Moonscape Overlook in the Hanksville, UT area. Also near Hanksville is Factory Butte and Bentonite Hills... very beautiful, very remote, incredible erosion with zero vegetation in sight! You can camp free on the edge of the cliff and fly drones without a permit.

We never made it out to the Moonscape overlook but we do plan on heading back out that direction. Currently we're in Austin Texas.

When baking, grate the potatoes on a fine grater. Then fry the finely chopped bacon with onions in a pan and add to the grated potatoes, add milk, salt and mix. Bake in the oven. What you have cooked is not a traditional Lithuanian dish. When you're making the cold borscht, add more cucumber and onion leaves, dill. Add sour cream. Serve separately with boiled and fried potatoes. It is important that the vegetables are fresh
@NaturalStateRebelsАй бұрын
Unfortunately we couldn't make it with bacon because one of them was a vegetarian and wouldn't eat bacon. Thanks for the tip though.

How is this for walking on in bare feet? I want to get this to put over gravel like you did so we can come out in bare feet and sit under awning.
@NaturalStateRebels2 ай бұрын
We've used it on smaller gravel and it was fine - barely noticeable. It should be fine on regular sized gravel with bare feet. It's 2 layers thick and a bit heavier than you might imagine. Durable.

how do you get a sticker for a place you've visited? do you just have to wait until it comes out one year?
@NaturalStateRebels2 ай бұрын
Often times there will be sticker sets you can buy at a national park visitor center. You can also buy them online. Every year they come out with a national park passport stamp set (stamps are actually stickers - confusing huh?). They sell them by regions of the country. Search online for 'national park passport stamp set'. You can find different sets from years in the past. They start in the 1980s. You can zoom in on the pics of the stamp (sticker) sets to see if the set includes the particular parks you need for your passport book.
@micheleroya2 ай бұрын
@@NaturalStateRebels ok thanks, Seems like a PIA to find the correct sticker! With a lot of extra stickers lying around you don't really need. I wish they had a better system... just paying a $1 and being able to order/get the exact one you want!
