That dog park is huge! Beautiful with all the large trees too. Temperatures where I'm at have been in the 100-104 degree range so when you said it was 85 there, I thought, "that's not hot!". But then I realized that's 85 AND humidity and yes, would be very uncomfortable and likely feels hotter than 85. Crossing my fingers and sending good thoughts your way in hopes that there are no major and costly issues with van! Mimo and Lua did good in the bathtub! They are so adorable. It's always a challenge trying to bathe my little Oliver. He's only 12 lbs and a senior to boot, but always tries to jump out of the tub! 😆 Thanks for sharing your day with us. Have a lovely week. That is such rude behavior. I’m so sorry they were like that. Check to see if you have roadside assistance with your auto insurance, I am sure I do and I pay for AAA. Your story makes me realize that I may be double paying.

I am on a 2 different Ford Transit Facebook page and several people have complained about AAA! If the van is missing rear seat the will not tow or service vehicle. So sort of rule in the very small print....

i have paid to have modifications: removed seats, and added a ramp to make wheelchair accessible. never had problem with AAA. they have come out at 3 times to charge my battery and twice to change a tire (once in a sketchy neighborhood). this sounds WEIRD!

Good to know about charging with a power station. I also have a Jump starter that I bought from Amazon. I just got AAA but I have a class C so that is different.

You are a lot more patient than I am! If it were me, I would put the seats back in the van and I would call AAA continually until all of the services that I paid for were used up. 😂 I have absolutely no patience for companies that take our money without asking the proper questions before they accept our business. I changed my van insurance company for that very reason. The company I was insured under called three months after I had changed my insurance to my new van, asking me a bunch of questions. Long story that I won't share here. So I basically told them to set up a phone call with me because I was canceling my over 30 year business relationship with them and I wanted to make sure my entire policy was canceled and that I would never hear from them again. The new company that I am with has been very thorough, knows exactly what I'm doing with my van as I travel, and has been wonderful to deal with. I think it's important if we're going to live nomadically that we exchanged names of who is good to do business with and who isn't so that we don't get shocked when the service or our insurance that we pay for is not honored when we need them. By the way, my solar panels came with the cable to hook up to my battery. So if I'm ever in a jam and I'm not in a rush I can just hook them up to my solar panels. But, it's good to know about that cable. My inverter also comes with a hookup for my battery so I could likely hook up to my Bluetti through my inverter. All things that we should be thinking through before it happens. Excellent video again!

OMG I just paid AAA last week knowing that they do not leave the pavement to hrlp you on BLM land. They aldo will not help on dangerous sections of highways. However, what does removing the seats have to do with a jump? Buy a battery charger. They are small and work great. Sometimes if you cancel membership they reimburse you for the time not used

Once you get it started it is better to drive around for a while to charge. About the 2nd dog, lua probably is wondering why you got him too 😊

I have a feeling insurance companies might refuse to pay for damage to an "altered/modified" vehicle. It's a different world we're living in these days. The other thing I've learned is AAA has different regions. I had AAA with New England and they were always helpful and kind. When I moved to Arizona, they always seemed to be in a hurry on the phone and when I transferred my membership, they set it up as a new one, not a transferred one. But I had no problem getting them to come out and get my van open so I could get my keys. However, that was at a laundromat and not a campground or LTVA. I have a charger to recharge my battery, so I've never had to call them for that. It was one of the "must have" things I bought before I went on the road.

AAA has been good to my wife in California (Not doing the Nomad thing!) So if they ask that question, "No, I removed nothing!" I will keep my AAA And Allstate roadside assistance to get the minivan to the nearest mechanic/autoshop for serious vehicle's issue. I'm dorry that you had such a bad experience with AAA.☹️

I had a bad experience with AAA as well. My van battery wouldn’t work so when they came out I bought a new battery from the guy. Later in the year my other car battery was having issues someone came out but didn’t check the charge and was told drive it for a bit and it will be fine. I drove it quite awhile and next morning went out to start the car and battery was totally dead. I called AAA and they said it would be a $100 charge to just come and look. What? Was told I already used my 3 calls for the year. They tried to saying buying the battery was considered another call. AAA used to be a good service but now they are scamming people.

😱 what the heck!!! I was actually thinking of getting AAA. Now I know I won’t. I took out all the back seats to my van. The fact that they were rude is unforgivable people are at a high level of stress when having automotive problems. Also I did not know about that magic cord! My granddaughter and I were just looking at car battery chargers which are very expensive to me. My Bluetti is a 500 I think. I hope that will work. This is a very informative video. That’s terrible customer service on the part of AAA. I’ve had good service from CAA (the Canadian version of AAA) I paid for an RV subscription and had great service from them when I accidentally locked my keys in the RV I rented. I would suggest looking into an engine start battery pack. They are compact, easy to use, and pack a lot of power. I bought one many years ago because I needed something to start my ultralight aeroplane engine during the winter when the battery was dead. Worked like a charm.

I had a similar situation. I was camping with my friend & the keys were accidentally locked in the vehicle. She has AAA, called for them to come unlock it but they claimed they couldn't find anyone to come out. They said they would keep trying. We were in a campground & they were closed when this happened so no one there to help. After several calls over 3 hrs we called a locksmith locally & after another hr at 9pm & $200 we were finally in the vehicle. Around midnight a sheriff shows up &knocks on the window cause he was sent to do a wellness check by AAA 🤬. Scared the bejesus out of us & he was THE rudest one ever. No thanks AAA. Needless to say she cancelled & will never use them again. We were told my the locksmith that AAA doesn't pay them enough so most won't respond to their calls.

This was great until it morphed into a Ted Talk on Evolution. Bob’s a very interesting guy but it seems some of his earlier struggles…. Possibly the loss of his son turned him against his original faith. So evolution seems the typical alternative I guess.
