Mark Hammel should have co written the movie. He knows a ton about what being a Jedi means, passionate beyond belief about the star wars Legacy.

Till this day I don’t accept episodes 7-9 as canon. Don’t get me wrong, the cast, vfx artists, audio people and film makers did the best they could with what they had and gave us a visually beautiful set of movies. But that’s about it for me. I’ve never seen writing and storytelling fail in such a way. Stories are built on the writing and if you fail at that, you don’t have an emotionally connecting story. Therefore, no one cares. Return of the Jedi to me IS the end of the Star Wars films and no one will tell me otherwise. (Series don’t apply, specifically talking about the sequels. The Mandolorian is fantastic!)

What's so depressing, is when you get an actor who is as passionate about their role as Mark Hamill -- an actor who never seemed to mind being seen as Luke Skywalker by many people -- and you break him down to the point where he says "it's just a movie, it's not real", in anticipation of people disliking the movie.

Unfortunately my disdain for what they did only contributes to the disdain of society in total... and I wish for love between us all.

Can we make another "George Lucas" movie with Luke waking up from a bad dream, and having Yoda say " suffer the fate with Disney You will if you continue down the Hollywood path"...and then go on and make an Actual Star Wars Movie...you know, one that has a story to tell...That would be great.

Idk bout yall, but there were SOME parts of the sequels i actually really liked, but trying to see the full films as part of a huge continuous story is where it falls apart for me. I thought the force awaken was OKAY at best and at the time was looking forward to seeing what was next, but they butchered Luke as a character

God, the entire Disney Trilogy has aged so poorly. Those movies are really terrible when you take a step back and look at it. Meanwhile, the prequels which were panned originally are now getting the love they deserved due to all of the new projects that are making them much more meaningful.
