I stopped having enough disposable income right before the switch released. My last portable was the New 2DS XL, so I'm eager to have the switch experience for cheap before the next generation. Plus, I can always save money to buy the "Switch 2" on some holiday sale.

Just got a V1 Switch a few days ago (wanted to mod). I love that Nitro Deck, US SNES style is the best look for devices. With an 18 month on (congrats on your baby) I can't get one now $$$$. When I play Red Dead Redemption I get 2-2.5 hours of game time. Nitro Deck seems very useful for many people...especially us on the V1 with our more energy hungry cpu. Good review..subbed.

I use the Mobapad M6 Gemini. I like it a lot. The buttons are clicky which is unique. Supports a lot of the features others do not. It’s comfortable for me, though closer to the size of the Split Pad pro.

I disagree about the joycons being just a flex. It is worth noting that the joycons are worth very nice to play with in bed or just when you dont want to have your hands up holding the console or looking down at the console in your hands. I can lay and bed and have one joycon behind my head under my pillow and the other down to my side while paying the game. It is the most confortable gaming experience for casual gaming.

I got the Nitro Deck on sale and wow it is not good for fps. Woke up the next day pain in my elbow and shoulder on the right side. Just bad idea for fps games.

Not interested in a “sled.” To each their own though. I do have the HORI split pad compacts and they are nice to use. Would love it to have amiibo support, but really that only applies to a very small selection of games for me. Also, I noticed the book you used in your vid, I just got The Game Console 2.0 book today in the mail and looking forward to going through it!

I really just want a great set of split pads that are as comfortable as modern Xbox and PlayStation controllers for when I’m playing handheld. The ROG Ally’s buttons really made me hate the little ibuprofen buttons on the Joycons. On a scale of 1-10 how hard is it to play with the NYXI Wizard in handheld form? 😅 AWESOME awesome video man!

I'm all about games being games at the moment as busy Dad I just wanna play something fun if I want a story I would rather just watch a good movie or Series only game I wanna play at the moment is Street Fighter 6 so might pick that up apart from that I get more enjoyment from F-Zero 99 than I do the next big AAA. Also I don't think you will be just another N KZfaqr as you have a unique angle 🤘

The analog triggers would be amazing for racing games. I know you're not a fan of racing games, Grid for the Switch supports wired pro controllers with analog triggers. FYI to those racing fans.

Didn’t you do this already? Also the nitro deck plus is a dock so if you want to play on the tv or monitor the plus is what you want. As someone that is very critical of CRKD I do take my nitro deck with me all the time without issues. Also let’s not act like the retro flag doesn’t tear up your rails. So while it does have felt it still damages the rails.
