Thanks for video. very informative. Re the routine maintenance cost if you are even remotely handy the air filter and cabin filter are relatively easy to change. You can purchase OEM quality replacements at Rock Auto which are significantly less costs than the BMW filters.

I just leased a nearly identical Mach E Premium. The only difference is that I went with black exterior. Such a fun driver!

You completely miss reliability, I just got ride of my Landrover for the new 2024 GX. You’ll spend 50% of the time in the shop, once you hit 50k miles. The only thing that’s better from Landrover is the suspension air ride, and the interior is slightly more luxurious with more up front storage. The GX missed the boat on storage with only a center console and small glove box. The GX is still a substantially better car and will cost you way less money overall. My last Landrover had over $25k in repairs in 4 years. If Landrover could just get ride of their plastic cooling systems, fix their turbos, and super chargers, their cars would be the best on the market. But they won’t because they make millions on repairs.

I looked at both and agree with the body style and ride of the Land rover is better but I went with the Lexus GX550 because I don't want to get stranded in the outback of Alaska pulling my Oliver Elite II travel trailer. Utility and practicality much better with the GX550!

Unless you can charge from home you have a glorified golf cart, albeit air-conditioned. When charging at a fast charger, this hog uses the equivalent of 120 single family homes and in metro areas, you stand a reasonable chance of being assaulted. Almost all of this car’spower comes from gas and oil…..so add in the incumbent transmission line losses. Then…..because it weighs 20% more than a similar hybrid or conventional vehicle, it generates 20% more tire dust (microplastics). All of this ends up in rivers and oceans and your food supply. This pales in comparison to the environment damage to Third World countries exploited to obtain the lithium and rare earth metals. Go ahead, assuage your environmental white guilt, live the lie.

I live in PA USA and I 'ordered' a Vegas Red X2 M35i with every available package and option. A bit over 60K USD and what I thought, given all the hype, was a bargain. Shifted down a notch from my fully-equipped X3 M40i. Ordered early December 2023. No information available on its build and delivery status until early May, when my dealer informed me that the model (?), my configuration (?), any X2 (?), would NOT be provided to customers in the US. No information from BMW area or corporate reps as to the reason. I checked dealer inventories from Boston to LA and found only a few low-end "lot cars" - mainly non-Ms, two half-equipped Ms. Does anyone know what's going on? A flaw found at the last moment? Baltimore? Robots on strike? Well, if I order another Bimmer. it'll be a 2025 X3 M50, so I can go down to my home state and pick it up. No ocean to cross. Help.

The reliability says it all! The land Rover will get you there the Lexus will get you back and home. When the Land Rover is in a land fill the Lexus will still be working on and off road!
