Caution Usa and Europe is not same engine, exemple Ford transit is good in Usa and is bad in Europe , Ford Engine Duratorq/puma diesel is bad, in usa you have not this engine

Great points! Do you feel two 6" MaxxFan Domes would have worked as well as your two 14" MaxxAir Fans? I've learned the DIY cardboard box spray foam kits Froth-Pak or Handi-Foam doesn't expand as much as the professional version, if applied at exact prescribed temperature, and instructions say to spray in VERY thin quick layers, and it is not as messy as the professional version, so if you had to do it over again, would you consider DIY kits like those? Or would you use pre-made foam boards, because you feel yours is too stiff? How many centimeters would you apply, if you had to do it again? Would you consider doing anything to the back door windows? I have a Ford Transit I'm about to spray foam. I do not have windows in the back, it's a cargo van - does europe require a window in the back cargo area?

Hello, Canadian here, I am enjoying your videos, and I agree with you about the spray foam for northern climates. That lady can stay in her lane. :) I just wanted to say, so many regrets you have here, and regrets of other van lifers would have been avoided with a conversation with an interior designer or architect. I'm planning out my own van build so I'm watching many regret videos, and for a lot of the regrets mentioned designers and interior architects have answers/solutions for. (Not promoting myself here, more advocating for the profession.) If/when people have time to plan a build before jumping into it, a consultation would not cost much, maybe 100-200$, to look at your plans and give you a couple of points of feedback would be valuable in the end. Since it is such a cramped space (a van in general), and as you know, every inch matters, it's even more important to maximize the functionality and make sure it's ergonomic. Obviously you guys are doing great and love your van, and plan on having it for a long time, and if you were to build again, you know what you don't want, so it's not so much a comment for you, but for those that want to do a van build themselves. Thanks for listening to my rant! :)

The worst spray foam application I have seen. Before getting this stuff applied it is worth stating in writing what you want ie depth and areas to a standard. I hope you got a discount from the amateur who did the job.

I did have a quick question if you might have the answer to it, I realize this video is a year old but was curious if you had the measurements (left to right and front to back) of where you placed the seat rails on the floor? I don’t yet have a swivel seat to figure out the best placement. And was curious if you could help me with that answer? Again, great work! Love it!

Who manufactures the HIGHEST Quality/Most Advanced Spray Foam for Van?

Promaster is really good for busy city driving with upright higher seating position. Building the interior wall, the promaster has many intrusion and it gets in a way to put the walls. Ford transit is the way to build but I am not in love with its design. It has no character, it is just built to work. But I am getting transit soon bacause it has many other charms including updated tech.

In a few years, the paint may have lizard skin like crack. Well, that's for sure if you live in hot climate area. However it could work well in your area with mild hot summer climate.

Should've spray the foam in enclosed area, like ceiling frame. it will fill up all the spaces and it will squeeze out through once the space is filled. If anyone is thinking about spray foam please check out spray foam skills, they have a few skills which will avoid trimming and cutting out. I will do spray foam on certain area only where any kind of mat can't reach. But good work to recover from disaster.
