Many of these southern states have no fiscal deficit in their budgets.They are conservative in their dpending. They have even surplus and have savings. It is the big states with huge fiscal deficits that will go down first. When the federal money rries up, they have nowhere to loan money to fund their deficits. Those states governed hy irresponsible liberal leaders like California. Illinois, Washington, Oregon, New York, Cp Connecticut, etc. are the ones endangered.

I don't agree to a lot of your assessment of collapse with regards to the southern states. Economic, industrial , environmental, parameters used may not apply equally in every state since every population have different needs and people have become accustomed and adapted to its environment. It is in those states with big populated cities that the collapse of states will start. When resources decline, big populated cities will be the ones who will feel the pinch if no basic goods available to buy

Amarillo offers a lot of opportunities to folks who just don't care. I love it here. I have wall art that came from the same store where I bought my giant naugahyde recliner. No one even cares. I don't have a clue how to properly open a bottle of wine or how to hold my glass. No one cares. My music collection has nothing in it post 1985. I haven't bought any new music in decades. No one cares. I grow Kentucky bluegrass in a desert and pour salty water on it and then mow it too short. No one cares. My steel edging sticks up 3" or ,4" too high so as to endanger anyone who might fall on it. Again, no one cares. Our civic auditorium gets lame entertainment like, Herp Albert. No one cares. It is a great place to live a laid back life and has some mighty pretty canyon land " breaks" only a few miles away in almost any direction. Bring some hiking boots and enjoy the natural beauty of this place. I'd pack a lunch. Amarillo has some of the ugliest restaurants you'll ever witness. No pretty tablecloths or cut flowers or cute stuff. Just crap hanging on walls that has never been dusted. I love this place.

All of these locations were great. The witch museum was just wax figures and lights with history behind the hysteria. I thought the witch dungeon and cry innocent play at townhall did a better depiction of history. If it sounds like you'd like it, try it. This was just my experience preference.
