I don’t know how I missed this video but those corn dogs look insane. We do have one Korean store here that makes them so I will definitely try them now x thank you for trying all those amazing foods . It’s so hot here right now too . We Britain’s complain about the heat when it’s only 28degeees outside in America that would be 82 . But we get bad humidity which makes it feel just gross. Salad for us for the next few days ❤

well done ladies for being adventurous. yes the sponge puddings are better with pouring cream, custard or ice cream. weetabix is better with a little sugar but is pretty bland tbh. hobnobs are good but better with a hot drink - dunked. my top tips for further exploration is - don't get turkish delight because I have never seen an american enjoy it. yorkshire tea is possibly the top tea recommendation. Irn bru is orange in colour but does not taste of orange, ive heard it described as bubblegum flavoured but personally I think its its own thing, slight creamy finish. double decker is a chocolate bar you might enjoy. Good luck and I hope you find more things you like... oh and if you try marmite then I can only apologise.
@taste4test8 күн бұрын
thank you for all of this!!! 💙we will deff take the tips on the hobnobs and pudding and we were debating on buying turkish delight but i guess thankfully we did not…ehh maybe we would try marmite just to try it 😝 lol cant wait to try more in the future

Dahlia, place a cup of basmati rice in a pan with 3 cups of water . Add salt bay leaf a clove Cinnamon stick . And star anise for flavor if you like . Do not wash the rice or stir it too much . Let it come to a boil then test it’s softness ( just try a grain) literally every two minutes ( don’t take your eyes off it . When it’s the softness you like, careful strain the water away through a sieve or colander with holes small enough so the rice doesn’t fall through . Then leave in a pot to cool for 5 minutes . You can also add your canned red beans strait away to the cold water with the rice to cook . If you make rice n peas with the dried beans that have soaked overnight then use long grain rice and cook the beans on low gor 2 hours before adding rice xx as those beans must be cooked for long. Tinned red kidney beans can cook along with your basmati rice easily x ( don’t forget to salt the rice water

@@taste4test if you want it more flavor some boil all the ingredients without the rice then let the water cool completely . Then add the dry rice and bring to the boil again and check every two mins . . Xx so glad it worked for you x

Me again, too bad on the Albany draw- Trenton has better eats. Another idea for a quickie food road trip from Upstate is to drive over I84 to Cheshire Conn and visit the throwback hot dog joint- Blackies. Conn style hot dogs fried on a grill with Blackies relish and birch beer soda. Compare to NY hot dogs and you will see Nathans doesnt even come close! Dont drive on a weekday as you will be spending all your time in traffic.

Sounds great honestly because we definitely want to do more road trips this summer so we always appreciate recommendations & we have never had blackies before sounds interesting thanks again!!

Hi Ladies, just found ur English snax vid today and was interested cause u said the store was in Conn. I grew up in Conn and clicked on this vid to see if u guys liked seafood. Then i find out ur actually NY girls, awesome. May i recommend you take another road trip this summer up 95 along the Conn shore. You need to try a Connecticut style lobster roll which differs greatly from Maine style. Conn is warm lobster in warm butter on a frankfurter roll. Would love to see ur reaction. And on the way to your shore destination, make a stop in New Haven to try Connecticut style clam pizza at Sallys or Pepes. Compare it to NY style which is great but the char crust of a Connecticut pie is much better. Btw- those clam cakes in RI were known as hush puppies back in the day and you had my mouth watering! PS try Ipswhich fried clams too.
