What is the idle currant draw of inverter.
@thomasmaughan479812 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, the discussion is NOT about the reactive element where current is out of phase with voltage, but rather, the large starting current demand of a typical electric motor.
Tks for reaching out. Sorry I don't understand your question, please provide your inveter and batterty model # and more details on the problem you are experiencing

Should've explained how it works. Lithium fires are self sufficient, so it would be interesting to know how were you able to extinguish a fire that can literally burn underwater.
@MSPD-Africa18 күн бұрын
great question, the video at the end shows it in action, there is a temp sensor on the unit with an explosive aerosol that extinguishes the fire.

I have the same motor and two 410 watt panels in series but haven't had the courage to charge while in use. The motor came with a warning saying "always disconnect motor while charging as higher charging voltage can damage the electric components of the haswing motor". Your setup seems to work great so I'd imagine it's also fine with my lifepo4 battery. Also the motor has high and low voltage protection so should be safe right? :D
@MSPD-Africa22 күн бұрын
I have added a second motor and all is working fine with charging when in use, they have auto shut down at low voltage which was quite nerve-wracking. overall the quality of the motors is not great for my application with them being permanently out doors.
@Finnstreams22 күн бұрын
@@MSPD-Africa Have you had any other problems with the motors? I think your batteries might the weak part in your otherwise awesome system. Because for example with my lifepo4 batteries the voltage at 10% charge is still 25,6V (25,6 x 100 = 2560W) (27V at full charge) meaning they can still power the venturas maximum 2520W. Also bluetooth monitoring for the battery is pretty great :)

my batteries are good, the motor seems better for indoor storage when not in use, the speed controller stops working and the clamps for locking the motor down are poor

What inverter size can I use to power a single phase, 3kw, 240v induction motor off of batteries without frying my system?
@MSPD-Africa2 ай бұрын
for that please use the inrush current function on your meter to measure like in the video
@thomasmaughan479812 күн бұрын
The starting current of an induction motor, also known as inrush current, is usually 5-6 times the motor's full load current (FLC). However, during the first half cycle of the electrical supply, the current can be more than 20 times the FLC. A "slow start" circuit can alleviate most of this problem but might cause the motor to fail to start. It's torque is very weak at startup.

7KH has 3 mppts can we use 2 mppts for 5.25 kw that's total power recommended 10.5kw ? Or we have to use all the to get 10.5kw ?
@MSPD-Africa3 ай бұрын
Tks for reaching out, the 8kW has 3MPPT in our range and as you say the 10.5kW has 4MPPTS that can support up to 15kW of solar panels, if possible for 15kW of solar power it's best to divide the amount of solar across all the MPPTs for the best results

This is a joke right? This has to be one of the worst demonstrations of battery safety I have ever seen. All you are showing is you dropping a case off of a building. Does the battery still work? All you’ve shown is that the case is durable. Also, Lithium Ion batteries don’t explode when dropped. They explode, at least they used to, when pierced or on fire. A real battery safety test is far more scientific than chucking it off of a roof.
@MSPD-Africa3 ай бұрын
Dear Keith, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment on your video. The purpose of the video is to show the strength of Fox battery cases. This provides safety to the owner in the event of the battery being driven into while say in your garage. As well as provide an airtight case to not let the battery cells be exposed to oxygen thereby limiting the potential for a thermal runaway. Batteries that don't have this protection expose clients the associated risks associated with batteries.
